“Good place to stay”
The location is very good. Close to a grocery store and several restaurants (very highly recommend Le Rosmario on Voltaire) and a metro stop at the corner. The hotel breakfast buffet was not extensive but very adequate. The rooms were small with not much room for luggage but manageable and well maintained and clean. The staff all speak English and were good at giving directions.
“Had a good stay--would stay again”
Good location-helpful staff. Breakfast was great every morning. The desk staff spoke English--everything was as advertised.
“Got the job done”
Free WiFi and Complimentary Continental Breakfast were my main reasons for choosing this hotel. The WiFI was effective and worked. The breakfast was suffice. The staff was hospitable. The rooms are small since it is Paris, but we had a small balcony and that was certainly very nice. The bathrooms are tiny but modern and very clean. The Charonne train stop on the 9 is at the corner and that makes this hotel very convenient for travel around Paris. I would certainly stay here again if the price is right.
“Great hotel with parking and breakfast!”
Had a hard time finding hotel with parking since we had a rental car. Arrived late and no problem checking in and parking in underground parking. Reception was very friendly and helpful - provided map and details on how to use metro. Metro was just around the corner and took us everywhere we needed to go very quickly - Eiffel Tower was furthest away and might have been a 20 minute ride. Hotel room was small but that was expected from everything I had read. Decor was dated but room was clean and good enough for the short time we were in it. Breakfast was typical European meats and cheeses but good. We would stay here again.
“Great location at a Great price!”
Hotel is in a convievent location when visiting by train...taxi ride from international train station was less than 10 euro. However, when returning to station better off to get taxi from street...if called taxi ride almost tripled in cost. Hotel is small as was stated in other reviews but extremely clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Metro station nearby made travel between sightseeing destinations convienent. Would highly reccomend for this level hotel!
“there is better options out there”

“Very nice hotel in a quiete area”
The hotel is quiete and typical 3 stars hotel. The rooms are small with balcony. The staff is friendly, but the room service is not that much. The Charonne station just at the corner and directly takes you to Chams Elysses and Arc de Triophe. If you care only about the place comfort and cleanliness, go for it. I reccommend this hotel for travelers.
“tiny room but excellent location and perfect service”
very good service and pleasant staff also good buffet-breakfast and free internet compensate for the small room
“Great hotel with nearby metro!”
Room was clean and decent sized. Beds were comfortable. No alarm clock, but we bought our own. Flat screen TV was mounted on the wall with mostly French channels, but also had BBC and CNN. Key card for the room controls the power/lighting, so when taken out of the slot in the wall, something plugged in (such as an alarm clock) will stop working or charging. Bathroom is fairly small, especially the shower... you can hardly bend down in there to pick something up (there's no ledge to put your shampoo). Despite that, I wouldn't call it a problem. Safe in the room was locked when we got there. We couldn't program it to put our stuff in, but didn't bother getting them to fix this, as we didn't have many valuables and kept our passport and stuff in our luggage. The metro map we got from both Expedia and my guide book showed only zones 1-3 of the metro, Classics Hotel Bastille gave us a map that went up to zone 5, so we could see what RER to take to get to Versailles. VERY useful. Breakfast was good. 2 different types of cereal, various choices of breads/croissants, 2 or 3 choices of cheese, some tea and orange juice. Not exactly a "buffet" like 4 or 5 star hotels have, but I found the choice of food to be perfect. The hotel wasn't in a very exciting neighbourhood but the Charonne metro is only a 1 minute walk away. A very convenient location. Lastly, the hotel staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would revisit.
“Perfect, but small rooms”
Classics Bastille is in a great location, 50m from Charonne Station (Metro), 15 min walking to Bastille Square. There are great bistrots nearby and fantastic boulangeries. Very positive: a fantastic breakfast, uncommum in most of the Paris budget hotels. Positive too: free Internet access. And great staff, always available to help you from the best bus to look around and the curious restaurant in the area. Negative: the room is just the bed (old bed). There is no space to open a second luggage (we were two, my wife and myself). The bathroom is small too. Anyone with more than 100k cannot take a shower there. Imposible. But for a convenient stay in Paris, where you came to the hotel just to sleep, Classics Bastille is a great option.

Bastille - Republique 11), Paris, France: Northeast of Place de la Bastille, this working-class neighbourhood is gradually becoming fashionable with younger Parisians.
