“Extremely satisfied”

We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff were especially helpful and friendly. The hotel is well located - easy walking distance to the metro, Champs-Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe. Also near great shopping and dining areas. We needed a better adapter and wash clothes when we arrived and found those within easy walking distance. It was nice to be out of the heart of the touristy areas yet still within the Paris scene. Buffet breakfast and evening snacks were very satisfying as well.

“Nice place to stay”

Yummy free breakfast, helpful service, clean, not too far from Metro/Main streets. The employees were willing to give great advice and directions. All around had a great stay at this hotel.

“Decent hotel, good location.”

Very good location, excellent service but no luxury items. If one does not need gym and large modern rooms, this hotel is just very pleasant and and has everything that a tourist would require, including free internet, morning and evening free buffets, excellent location.

Area recommendations

This area is excellent, close to Champs Elysees and the Arch. Quiet area, but everything is in walking distance.

“Mediocre Experience for Five-Star Hotel Price”

Our room was incredibly small, and unacceptable for the price we were paying. The description of the hotel on expedia made it seem like it would be a much nicer hotel than it actually was, and we were not pleased when we arrived at 12:30am to a room that looked like it had not been renovated since 1950. That said, the following day the hotel upgraded us to a renovated room which, though small, was much nicer. The neighborhood is very central--very close to the Champs-Elysees.

“First time in Paris”

The hotel staff was very friendly and spoke English. This hotel is close to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs de Elysses. It is in between 2 metro stops ( a few blocks to either). The room was quiet. The hotel offered free breakfast (continental), glass of champagne, and afternoon tea and snacks. No iron in the room and limited television channels. I would stay here again.

Getting around

The metro in Paris is extremely easy to use. I can say this for a fact because I had never been on a subway until this trip and was able to manuver around no problems. You can buy a book of 10 tickets that will save a little in the long-run. The trains are not air conditioned and can be saunas in the summer. there is also an unpleasant smell most of the time, but it is a cheap and easy way to get around. I also recommend the hop-on/hop-off bus tours. For alot of the trip this was our mode of transportation. It takes you to most of the must-see areas in Paris. There are 2 companies the "red bus" has 9 main stops and only 1 circuit. It is cheaper than the "yellow bus" which has more stops and different circuits, but is a little more expensive.

“Great Hotel but HORRIBLE housekeeping!”

I hate to rate this hotel badly just because of the housekeeping staff but the only complaints that we had were from housekeeping. When we checked in the bathtub was filthy and had some other people hair all over and in it! How gross! We had to call down to get it cleaned and the bellman was the one who cleaned it! Also, we left the hotel for a few minutes and put up the do not disturb sign on the door and the housekeeping staff still went in. Not only did I have important documents lying around but I had left out some of my valuables on the desk. We just went to the store around the corner. We did complain but nothing was done. On a more positive note, the front desk at the hotel was exceptional. Anything we needed, they helped with a smile. We had an upgraded room so the room was very spacious. The hotel is NOT near the Champs, it is quite a hike!!

STay closer the the Champs, it will help with taxi fares!
