“Overpriced hotel”
Pro: -Clean room, friendly stuff, around the corner metro. Contra: -Small sink in the bathroom, no place to put your stuff -No bar/refrigerator. Didn't have a place where to keep a water bottle cold -I am from Europe and I'm used with small spaces but this is a very small room. This may work for one person but it's too small for two people. Overpriced room in my opinion.
“Room for Improvement”
Starting with the positive: This hotel is conveniently located by a metro stop less than one block away. This makes it very easy to go around town at any time, in any weather, because transportation is not a problem. The staff is fluent in English, another plus. It is also walking distance to moulin rouge and the cigale, which is why I chose this hotel. Areas for improvement:This hotel has many areas in which it can grow. For starters, the internet is only accessible by Orange, which means you pay about 10 euro for 24 hours. The hotel was under construction (this is march 2011) and is under construction early in the morning, so you can't sleep in if you wanted to. The construction is evident everywhere you look in the hotel, with workers and tools everywhere. takes away from the experience, truly. Only certain staff are friendly or accommodating (especially the female, she's great but only there midday, when most people are out sight-seeing!) There was a particularly awful staff who refused to allow my friend into my room because I had booked the room for 2 and this would make it 3. However, my friend was not there to stay in my room as a guest for the night. We were simply stopping by to pick something up. This experience completely ruined our reunion with our Parisian friend. For this alone I would not book this hotel again. But, if you're in town, plan on spending next to no time at the hotel, and need easy access to the metro this place is for you.
“good nice and cleab hotel with good location.”
Our stay at December 2010 at Brittany hotel was very nice. The service from the front desk was excellent and very friendly. The hotel is located 50 meter from the metro. It is about 1 km from Gallery Lafayette. The room is small and there is not enough light in the room. The bath is big and OK and very clean. The breakfast was very good. There are few restaurants near by and a supermarket and fruit shops.
“Paris”
Charming hotel - 17th century experience with all modern amenities - walking distance close to all the sites
“Brittany Hotel”
A charming hotel in a nice neighborhood. Friendly and helpful English speaking staff. Room and elevator extremely small, which is not too uncommon for older European hotels in this price range. A good value, I would recommend staying here if you are on a budget and can get a good rate.
“Not really a 3 star”
The hotel is ok, room are very very small but the location is great convenience for travelers. Most of the staff are very helpful but with one exception, you have to be lucky not to meet him.
“would go back”
The Hotel was clean, the front desk was very helpful. I would recommend this hotel . It was a 10 minute walk from where the rossy bus let you off. The street was noisy during the day but the traffic was very lite at night time we were able to sleep with the window open. The room did have air conditioning but we did not use it.
“recommend this to everybody”
the room was everything we expected.clean, comfortable, the concierge was very helpful with directions and recommendations of restaurants and sight seeing.
“couldn't be better”
The room is very comfortable and clean. The location is very close to the station of two subway lines so it is very convenient for people who want to travel Paris with subway. Most important of all, the hotel clerk is really nice. She is very patient and very willing to share information. It is definitely great for the first-time travelers to Paris. Maybe there is one thing to say if you really want to be picky. The room is quite small. But it is Paris, right!. For my wife, it is a great experience to live in an old and small building in Paris. a very different experience compared with a hotel chain.
“Lovely Hotel, Great Access Point to the City”
The hotel is located in an area that is close to many different types of shops, restaurants, and salons, something for every type of shopper. We were able to get around the city passing through 5 districts in two days due to the close proximity of the hotel to the subway station. On our last day we asked the very friendly lady at the reception for a restaurant recommendation and realized we should have asked her from the moment we checked in, because the food was delicious! If you have any problems checking in on time I highly recommend calling expedia so they can contact the hotel, I also loved the breakfasts and the little candies they had at the reception. All in all we enjoyed our stay. One thing to note to non-European travelers is that the beds are typically two double beds instead of the full sized bed option Americans usually have when requesting a room for two. Perhaps it was the way I booked the room, but anyway it's something to keep in mind.
