“A wonderful weekend in Paris”
Some trepidation when checking into this hotel after reading some of the reviews illustrated but what a pleasant surprise! Situated perfectly for our Paris weekend especially Saturday evening at the Moulin Rouge (a two minute walk away - and a fantastic evening's entertainment), the staff were very friendly and the room was more than comfortable. Will book again for a repeat experience in 2006!
“Great budget hotel.”
Wonderful location and helpful staff. Easy access to Metro. Great value.
“In need of renovation”
Extremely good location but the hotel is in need of renovation as the walls are mouldy at some places, some of the lights do not work.BUT...the staff is very friendly and helpful and it is close to everything in the city centre.
“Nice place to stay”
Hotel staff were very friendly and most of them spoke English. The hotel itself was nothing fancy, but was clean and comfortable. The free continental breakfast was delicious and a great time/money saver. Hotel is somewhat removed (15-20 minute walk) from most attractions (Eiffel tower, Louvre, Notre Dame, etc.), but walking everywhere from here is still possible (you want to walk anyway to get a feel for Paris). There is a lot of good shopping nearby on Rue de Haussman and a large metro station a couple blocks away (but we found the Metro very confusing and hard to use).
“An OK stay”
A quaint, quiet hotel. I would recommend it because it is on a relatively quiet, safe street...there is a Police Station just across the street. Our room's radiator leaked the entire 3 night stay...the floor was soaking wet. It didn't really bother us because we were only there long enough to sleep, however it was difficult to keep our 1 year old out of the water! The morning concierge spoke English relatively well. The others did not! The only parking this hotel has is on the street in front of it...VERY difficult to find parking during the day. There is a private parking garage a couple of blocks away though. ANYWAY....overall, it wasn't a terrible experience. I would stay there again.
“Close to a lot of amenities”
The hotel receptionists were all friendly and helpful. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants and shops and metro. With the metro close by, you can go anywhere in Paris.
“Bohemian luxury”
charming small hotel in quiet district - near the Moulin Rouge
“Goo hotel in convenient location”
This hotel suited us as it was in a convenient location, near 2 metros and close enough to all the major sights in Paris. There was also quite a lot around the hotel (restaurants, supermarket, patisserie, internet, etc). The staff were very friendly and helpful (the airline had lost our bags) and the hotel facilities were adequate and clean. The hotel is quite old but the rooms were quiet, private and decorated with antique furniture.
“Nice, medium-sized hotel”
It feels like a medium-sized hotel - the staff have personalities, its not luxury, but it is a very pleasant place to stay.
“Good for short breaks”
Would recommend this hotel although our room was the smallest I have ever seen. The location was very good and the staff was very helpful. If you are going for a short break it is a relly good hotel to choose!
