“My trip to Torcy France”

I had to be at this location because it was 10 min walk to my family home. They were friendly, helpful. its beautiful around the hotel. Found some cute stores, bakery around and even farmers market on saturday, if you like to walk 10-15 min, there is a very nice shopping centers and food court convent if you do not want to go far. Also Disney land is not too far. Paris is 30 min with car but also there is all convenient transportation. The only thing I did not like is: to get the internet you have to dial a # and they gave you 2 days at the time. I did not have a phone and one employee helped calling for me. They told me thats how its there, also they close the lobby at night but have emergency # to call. The room is very small, small closet but I managed and kept some cloths in my suitcase. I will go back when I go to visit the family again. I just like quite. The family has young kids and they make noise. I hope this info will help you.

“Other than not being able to connect to the Internet...”

The staff was great and the place was great too. But it was not possible to connect to the internet. The location was not at all close to the Metro station.

“Get what you pay for...”

I booked this hotel because we wanted a place near disneyland paris but something not pricey. The hotel is 15min walk to the Torcy RER train station- which is a 5 min train journey direct to Disney OR a 30min train direct to Paris. When we walked into the room it smelt of old socks, but after the window was open for a while the smell soon went. Also the holder that holds the shower head was broken. Cosmetically the hotel was shabby but it was a place to leave our bags and sleep. The bed was very comfortable and they could benefit from tea/coffee facilities (as I didn't fancy wandering round the neighbourhood) FYI, the staff do not speak english- but were nice enough to try and understand us (which I appreciated). Overall, for the price, its what you pay for! If you're not planning to spend a lot of time at your hotel then I think its fine! P.S. the pictures didn't look much like the real thing!

“Disappointing compared to other budget hotels”

Fair enough, a budget hotel, and if we had never stayed in one for a similar price I would have thought it was ok but compared to the Premier Classe just down the road it came out worse. Reception was very shabby as was the room. Staff were not particularly helpful. We were given half a roll of toilet paper on arrival and when we asked for more we were told there was some already in our room and they wouldn`t give us any. We searched high and low and there was none there. We had a bang on the door from the maid each morning as she didn`t think we were out of our room early enough - 9.30am - 10am. Not that early but it`s never been a problem elsewhere and we`re not 4star people. One of the legs on our bed collapsed and we fixed it ourselves as we didn`t know how to explain it in French. Having said that, the maid did a very good job of cleaning the room (and replenished the toilet rolls). Sheets, towels and the bathroom were clean. The beds were quite comfortable and didn`t collapse again! A large group of teenagers stayed there at the same time and inevitably they were noisy as they enjoyed a free run of the hotel which can`t really be helped but the layout of the hotel was very open plan, our room being on the large landing there was no way to escape the noise which went on till 10.30pm - not that late but difficult for families. TV worked. Bed for our son pulled out from under our bed which we did ourselves on arrival. Small room but what you`d expect for the price.
