“Great location - needs some lighting!”
Hotel was in a great location - walk to Place de la Concorde and the Champs d'Elysees. Had an overwhelming small of either disinfectant or air freshener that I could smell even as I approached the hotel outside. Never could figure out why. Never tried the breakfast (probably should have) but it looked great. Front desk was very helpful with directions, restaurants, transportation, etc.. Small, quaint hotel. Room wasa little "tired" and incredibly dark - could not see a thing even with all the tiny lights on. Bathroom was nice. It had been renovated with nice shampoos, soaps, etc. but no shower curtain. Not usual for Europe but a little hard to manage. You can't compare this hotel with an American chain hotel. On its own merits it was very comfortable.
“Location can't be beaten”
We stayed here for 3 nights, and had a very good time. The hotel itself doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it's very nice, and has a warm, welcoming feel. The room itself was a lot larger than we had expected, almost feeling like a suite (on a smaller scale of course). The room and bathroom were both very clean, and the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Never ate in the hotel, so we can't comment on the food. There are however lots of cafes and bistros nearby, so getting food is never a problem. Above all, the location was amazing - on the doorstep of Madeline and the Place Concorde, you can walk to the Eiffel tower in about 30 minutes, Champs Elysee in 20 and the Louvre in about 20. Jump on the Metro and the whole city opens up. There a lot of high end designer clothes shop in the area, so you can feel rich during your stay. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it!!
“Family trip to Paris”
We booked three nights at the Amarante Beau Manoir during Easter week 2008. As a family of four with two children, 9 and 12, we were pleased with the fair price for two double/twin bedded rooms, and the hotel followed our request by providing adjacent rooms. Very pleased with the quality of the hotel; the rooms were well-sized, although the arrangement of the bathroom, especially access, in the children's bedroom was not ideal. The rooms were clean, well decorated and fitted with very comfortable beds. The location was ideal for us, with many restaurants a few minutes walk, and the Madelaine metro station and the Place de la Concorde / Champs Elysees well within walking distance. Guest lounge provided with PC with free internet access, and British and American daily newspapers. Car parking was difficult; we ended up paying over EUR50 for 50 hours parking about 10 mins walk away. Best deal was the breakfast, which at EUR20 per adult was expensive, but both kids (12 and under) ate free, making it a convenient and hearty start to each day.
“Mr.”
Good location. Nice and clean. Air conditioning works. Only suggestion: Get a wall attachment for the hand held shower.
“Fit for purpose!”
Ideal location for seeing all the sights - arm yourself with a Visit Paris Metro Pass. Hotel staff very pleasant and willing to be helpful if you need them.
“Great Location, quality hotel”
A great location , just yards from Place de la Madelaine, we walked almost everywhere, some lovely restaurants nearby and the boutique shops of paris literally staggering distance away. Would recommned this hotel, a great and comfortable base in the centre of Paris. We will be going back.
“Great location”
I would recommend the hotel on location but the room we were in on the ground floor by reception was very noisey. From 6am you could not sleep for hotel staff and guests moving in reception and going to breakfast
“Central Hotel with easy walking access to most of Paris sights”
Having seen some of the other 4 star hotels in area would definitely say 3 star. Reception excellent and very helpful. We were in superior suite utilising the bed setee and a wee bit tight moving around but we were only there to sleep. Bed very comfortable. Air conditioning struggled but it was 28-35C during our visit. Toilet small but showerroom good and spacious. Breakfast was free so worth it but if you have to pay 20 euros for it would go elsewhere.
“Good Location and Nice Hotel”
Only a couple of blocks from "Column", so centrally located on quiet street. Smaller hotel, but amenties were fine and service was good. Would recommend if looking for smaller hotel experience.
