“Don't do it!”
Hotel was cute and loved the Madeleine area of town. However service was terrible! Our AC didn't work on check in. We told them everyday and everyday they said someone would look at it but didn't. Bed linens were worn looking and stained. But the rest of the room and bathroom was clean. We heard several guests complaining at the front desk almost daily. The best area of town to stay in but we won't be staying at this hotel again.
“no good maintenece”
furniture broke
“Not a 4 star hotel - good location but very "tired"”
We tried this hotel for first time due to its location and 4 star rating. As a long-time traveller and repeat visitor to Paris, we were disappointed. The reception desk is disorganized, the elevator will not hold 2 people and luggage (my wife had to go ahead... Ok so we do have large suitcases but...) The room was clean and big enough but in need to maintenance and redoing. Didn't eat there as breakfast was 22 Euros. Service was variable. One day front desk was unhelpful, next person wonderful. Location is great being a stones throw from Place de la Madelaine on a quiet side street. You can walk to the Louvre, Seine, etc We will look for another hotel in area next visit or tghere are great studio apartments we've rented before for the price of a room.
“Great staff, location.”
Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly and the location was great. The hotel itself however could use refurbishing.
“Great Value & Location - Some Quirks”
To begin, Paris doesn't exactly thrill me with its supply of quality hotel rooms for a decent price. I go there on average once a year and I've had mostly terrible experiences (all of France for that matter). This hotel did have some problems with cleanliness (think dirty sheets), but it more than made up for it with the room size, the service, and above all the location which can't be beat for the price we paid. Granted we went off season and got a deal, but paying up to $300 for this room would still be worth it in my opinion. Lastly, for most people this would be a three star hotel. Not a four star. There wasn't even a doorman to bring our bags in.
“Great location - needs some lighting!”
Hotel was in a great location - walk to Place de la Concorde and the Champs d'Elysees. Had an overwhelming small of either disinfectant or air freshener that I could smell even as I approached the hotel outside. Never could figure out why. Never tried the breakfast (probably should have) but it looked great. Front desk was very helpful with directions, restaurants, transportation, etc.. Small, quaint hotel. Room wasa little "tired" and incredibly dark - could not see a thing even with all the tiny lights on. Bathroom was nice. It had been renovated with nice shampoos, soaps, etc. but no shower curtain. Not usual for Europe but a little hard to manage. You can't compare this hotel with an American chain hotel. On its own merits it was very comfortable.
“Great location, service!”
Recommended...great hotel for short stay in Paris
“very good hotel in the heart of paris”
The hotel was in a very good location in downtown Paris, within walking distance of all the main attractions in Paris. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The room was clean and lived up to the hotel star rating it advertised. The room was comfortable and had all the amentaties you would need. The size of the room was decent and bathroom was of good quailty. We would definitely come back to this hotel and would recomend this to other travelers.
“location is the best”
The location of this hotel is great! It is centrally located and very close to the Metro system. The rooms are small and quaint but have air and bath/showers.We found the front desk staff to be very helpful with directions, suggestions, confromations etc. Especially a girl named Marie. We will definately stay here again. jg/ tennessee
“Good location otherwise eh”
You get what you pay for. The advertised "fitness center" had three aerobic machines two of which were broken and the third that started smoking after 10 minutes. My husband and I are fairly tall but average size overall and neither of us could stand up in the water closet without first opening the door. The hotel needs some revamping. Staff was pleasant but not overall welcoming.
