“Worth the money”

The room wasn't fancy, but the free breakfast and friendly staff compensated for the short comings.

Getting around

The train station was a block away, and the staff was always helpful to suggest the best train to take. Enter the station at the Rue de France station if you are taking the RER C. If you enter at the closer Rue de Tolbiac station, you have to use two tickets if you are doing the single tickets are carnet of 10. Your best buy is to get the day pass and get on as much as you need. I think we would have spent about 5 times as much on trains if we didn't get the day pass.

Must see

It's Paris......I recommend everything! Actually my favorite thing was the trip to Versailles. It was amazing! Also, if you only have time for one museum, I would suggest the Museum d' Orsay over the Louvre.

Dining

The cafe at the Bibliotheque (Library) was excellent. My daughter and I both agreed it was our favorite meal.

“Only for the budget traveller”

The hotel itself wasn't bad, but the location it was in was not particularly good. In fact there was a sign as we were driving that indicated we were leaving the tourist area. Having said that, we experienced no problems and the hotel is close to the metro system as well as a "hop-on hop-off" bus location, which I would say is worth it for any first time visitors to Paris who want to know the main attractions around the city and get on and off as the please to visit them. As per usual the hotel breakfast is over priced, but there are not many options in the area, we usually took the metro downtown to find something good. The front desk staff were helpful and gave us good recommendations for restaurants to go to, and always willing to help with any other questions. If you have a car then make sure you call ahead and verify that there is a spot for you because the parking is underground and there are only about 6 spots. I would say that this is a good budget travellers hotel, but if you have the means then I would recommend staying closer to the tourist areas.
