“Will use this hotel in future”
Middle of a busy, interesting, area, but in a quiet side street, so the only noise is people who return later than you at night. Good value and will use the Agora in St. Germain in future (if prices remain competitive).
“Great location”
A short walk to Notre Dame and the lively evening entertainment in the Latin Quarter, this is a great hotel. The room was very clean and the staff were friendly.
“Great location at a good price.”
Great location in the Latin Quarter. A couple blocks from Metro. A short walk to the Isle de la Cite and Notre Dame. A multitude of restaurants in the area from which to choose for fine dining. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable but small... Nowhere to put luggage and could use a few hooks to help organize clothing.
“great hotel, great location”
We stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel were very pleased to find the hotel was as good as the previous reviews said. Rooms were very clean & comfortable and the bathrooms had been recently refurbished to a good standard. There was a comfortable lobby with magazines and info on the various trips and experiences available. The staff were also very friendly and fully fluent, they were good enough to book restaurant tables and enquire about show tickets without hesitation. The location too is excellent especially if you like to spend evenings in the Latin Quarter. Would highly recommend.
“Met our needs perfectly”
My partner and I found this hotel on Expedia after much searching and comparing to other hotels. The hotel manager and other staff were very friendly and courteous, and they all spoke English, though they were perfectly content to accept our less-than-perfect French. The room was recently and tastefully remodeled and was kept spotless. It was, as we'd read in other reviews, quite small, but very quiet, with air conditioning and a flat screen TV. But what truly amazed us was the location! In the Latin Quarter, it was a quick walk to Notre Dame, and the charming restaurants and boutiques of Isle St. Louis and the Marais, as well as near all the excitement of St. Germaine des Pres. Less than a block away were fabulous boulangeries and pattisiers and cafes. (We agree that it's a better deal to get your own breakfast outside of the hotel, but we did treat ourselves to the hotel's cafe au lait and croissants in our room a couple mornings.) No luxuries, but an absolutely perfect home base for 10 days of exploring Paris. Can't wait to go back!
“Excellent Location”
Found this hotel on Expedia having trawled through lots in our price bracket and rejecting several with poor ratings. Stayed 3 nights here in a twin bedded room with my sister. Can't fault it ( apart from lack of kettle and tea-making facilities but I'm not sure that most french hotels provide those). Arrived after midnight due to flight delays but no problems with checking in. Very quiet - didn't see or hear other guests and only sound which penetrated windows was the church bells at 7.30am - and half-hourly after that! Smallish room and beds but very clean and comfortable. Modern bathroom fittings - good shower and small bath. Didn't try breakfast as low carbing(!) but plenty of eating places nearby including narrow streets including Rue Huchette. 10 mins to Notre Dame,5 mins to Pantheon, and 5 mins to excellent Musee du Moyen Age. Also further but still accessible by foot are Louvre, Musee d'Orsay (highly recommend) and Pompidou Centre. 10 minutes from RER station at St Michel de Notre Dame so easy access to CDG airport. No frills but excellent value.
“Perfect location”
Located in a typical Parisian street, 3 mins walk to the Seine and Notre Dame and uphill 5 mins to Pantheon. Rooms very clean and modern impressive bathroom with plenty of hot water. We overlooked the atrium with french doors which opened to let fresh air in and you could look up to see what the weather was doing, very quiet with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. The staff all spoke English and were very friendly and helpful, though we did not have to really ask them for much as it was all provided.
“Quaint hotel is a great area”
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was very clean, the rooms were newly refurbished. Also, the location is fantastic: a few minute wak to Notre Dame, the metro, Blvd St Germain, Blvd St Michel, etc. Even a terrific bakery around the corner! We would return to this hotel again for sure.
“Very nice 3-star hotel”
I think the quality is actually higher than an average 3 star hotel, but then the price is too. Overall, a very nice hotel, quiet yet centrally located, very nice and helpful staff, comfortable, super clean and modern room, albeit small, but that is what you should expect in Europe. We had two double beds (and paid more for it), but it basically was the size of one full size bed divided by two, so pretty narrow beds, but still very nice.
