“An Off the Beaten Path Gem”
Very comfortable hotel for the budget traveller in a quiet residential neighborhood near the Pere Lachaise cemetery. Extremely accomodating staff who helped me with my fractured French. The room and bathroom were large by European standards, and immaculately kept. The bed was perfect for me - might be a little firm for other tastes. Kitchenette a nice touch. Just a block from Metro Line 2, which connects to just about every other line. Would go back in a heartbeat!!!
“Really quiet”
Very quiet place. Hotel service is excellent. The staff was very kind and ready to help us. The room was very clean, absolutly confortable bed and the kitchen is so practical. Good grocery stores (Franprix), bakeries, convenient stores in the area, ...we would come back again!!.
“Great place for doing Paris on a budget.”
Great little hotel just a block or so from the metro station. Kitchenette area made it possible to save money on meals. There are little shops for buying cheese, bread, wine, etc. just around the corner. The only drawback is that the only close tourist attraction is the Pere Lachaise Cemetery. You'll have to take the metro or the bus everywhere else. The bed was fantastic, big and with a nice hard mattress.
“An affordable, roomy hotel off the beaten path”
This was my first trip to Europe and my wife's second, so I didn't know what to expect. However, the courteous staff were there to help at all times, were very friendly, and spoke excellent English. They even let us store our baggage at the hotel before our check in time, so that we could go explore Paris without the hassel of lugging it around. The hotel is located in a quiet area next to the Pere Lachaise Cemetery (Jim Morrison's final resting place) and is a convienient 1 minute walk to the nearest Metro station. The room was large with a kitchenette/mini fridge, but the bathroom was a bit small and only had a stand up shower. Still, it was perfectly adequate for our needs. The room cleaning service was timely, polite, and efficient. The only faults I found were with the pillows, which were little more than small, lumpy, bags of cotton(bring your own if you can). Restaurants are a bit less common right around the hotel, but there is a very nice bakery, grocery store, and a few smaller food stores very close. A 5 minute walk in any direction brings more stores and restaurants. If you are looking for a quiet hotel away from touristy areas of Paris, this hotel is a good choice.
