“A Perfect Little Gem”
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in September. We were lucky enough to get a room on the top floor so that it had a balcony and a small skylight in the bathroom. The bedroom itself was not large, but with the balcony and the large bathroom it felt like plenty. Because we were on the top floor, the roof in the bathroom was sloping steeply and you had to bathe sitting down. For us it added to the fun, but it could annoy some...likewise for the bidet... :)
“Amazing Hotel in a Wonderful Location”
A terrific, little, quaint hotel that was perfect for our stay. The room was a bit small, but was uniquely furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable making it a very enjoyable stay. The best thing about the hotel, however, was its location. It was absolutely perfect to be in a great neighborhood with easy access to the metro and short walking distance to many museums, sites, parks, and great restaurants. If the small room will not bother you, this is a wonderful option to stay in Paris.
“A wonderful small hotel.”
The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located just two blocks from the Seine (across the river from the Louvre) and one block from the shopping and restaurants of Rue St. Germain. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Yes, the rooms were small, but We've stayed in just as small in New York City. We loved this hotel and hope to return.
“WONDERFUL PARIS HOTEL”
My wife and I stayed at Academie Hotel for 8 nights this September 2009 just a few days ago. We thoroughly enjoyed the room--we could see the life of the streets happening from our window. The maid service was efficient. But most of all I want to comment on the front desk personnel, especially the two young women who served us and the hotel there. Alas, I do not know their names. But the older of the two--I believe she was une française--was there every morning, the other was a Swiss and served mostly afternoons. Because I cannot walk well, we took several taxis and vans to explore Paris and Giverny. Each time the young women at the front desk made the perfect arrangements for us. They were pleasant, good-humored, efficient, knowledgeable. My wife and I cannot say enough to praise these employees of Academie. One final comment. We had a wonderful conversation with the man who, we were informed later, was the owner of the Academie. He was a tall Frenchman who recommended Bofinger for our one night out at a restaurant. He made a reservation for us and I never got a chance properly to thank him.
“Lovely hotel”
My husband and I stayed here for 4 days for our first trip to Paris. Perfectly situated in the wonderful area of Saint Germaine, very comfortable room, friendly and helpful service - we even got advice as to which supermarket to use. Close to all the main sites - we ate our breakfast every morning at The Louvre which was just a short walk away. I would have liked tea & coffee making facilities in the room, other than that everything else was very comfortable!
“great location”
an easy walk to the Seine and across to the Louvre or to the St. Germaine student area. Lots of good shops, bookstores, bistros and restaurants. Room typically "Paris hotel" small but airconditioned. Crucial during heat wave. Concierge very pleasant and helpful.
“great location”
great little hotel and location ,friendly service.Room clean but tiny, like all reasonably priced Paris hotels. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but walked around the corner for cafe and croissants.
“Great location”
This hotel is convieniently located for many of the top tourist attractions in Paris such as the Louvre and Musee' de Orsay. The bed was a little uncomfortable; two twins pushed together and a little lumpy.
“Nice Place to Stay”
We stayed for ten nights, and we were happy with the hotel overall. The staff was nice and professional, the hotel and our room were clean and nice. The street outside was a little noisy, but not bad enough to keep us awake. The neighborhood is perfect for Paris sight-seers! Cafes are everywhere and it's very central to the big sites.
“Excellent location”
Great little hotel with character. Excellent location...we walked the entire central Paris area from here. The standard Room is very small, but as expected in Europe. The shower is unimaginably small, but achievable. I think the bed size was queen which probably saved the day.
