“Best resort in El Farallon”
We attended a wedding in Panama City and decided to make a vacation out of it. My wife and I stayed at the Royal Decameron Resort and were treated extremely well throughout our stay..The grounds are lush with century old trees throughout the compound. Lots of pools, bars, kids pools, buffets and restaurants to choose from. Though the Hotel is a bit old, the rooms are clean and the grounds are spotless. We did visit other family members at the Playa Blanca Resort and they were extremely disgusted with their resort. We noticed a strong odor of pesticide and lots of bugs..If you are looking for a great relaxation family oriented resort, this is the place. NOTE: the best rooms with awesome views are buildings 15-19..They are centrally located to everything with views of the ocean and grounds.
“Incredible visit”
The hotel and grounds were fabulous. The only problem was running out of bananas for my tropical drinks. Other than the trip was fantastic. I will definitely be back
“each trip gets better and better”
Beauty, beauty, and beauty.
“Will return soon!”
Girlfriend spent four great days here. Rooms, food and atmosphere outstanding.
“Panama a Great Destination”
Loved our stay in Panama. We were there for my sister-in-laws wedding, great property, very big resort, lots to do. Highly recommend.
“Wonderful Resort!”
Very Happy with our stay at Royal Decameron and would be happy to return. We have traveled to many all inclusive resorts and this one ranks high on our list. The staff are there to please you!
“Can't wait to go back!”
A group of us go here every year. Our rooms are always spotless, the service is friendly and the food is fabulous!
“Would recommend this hotel to everyone, Upgrade to a Villa Suite if you can”
We could not fault the cleanliness and hygiene at any of the public area, beach bars and dining areas. They had people washing and sweeping floors 24/7. This is the only place we have been where staff preparing or serving food had to wear masks covering their mouth and nose, as well as gloves and hairnets. The cheif chef and reception management were checking up on every one and everything, again 24/7 and it showed. The service at this hotel was excellent. Our only complaint was that they need to sort out their evening dining process. It was two to three days before we realized that you had to say where you wanted to eat and at what time and ignore the fact that the board said the restaurant you wanted was fully booked. This is our only real critisism of the hotel. If you go to a fully inclusive resort you should be able to eat where you want when you want and not have to argue or stand in line each morning to book that evenings dinner location. You did not have to leave the resort for anything. Of course you should do the trips that are offered they are really good value for money and the tour guides were excellent. In our opinion if anyone hase a problem with this hotel they must be used to staying at a 10 star. We will definately go back one day, when we have finished exploring the world
“The Decameron was great!”
The grounds of the Decameron are breathtaking. I read the reviews of others and looked for the negatives, but the postives far outweigh them. We enjoyed everything, the buffets, the water sports, the pools, the unending drinks, the staff and their planned activities, the disco, and especially Jim, the parasailing boat captain! Oh yes, and you will especially love having a massage at "Heaven on the Beach".
“Very good”
Its was very confortable and clean, food was great and people was nice.. I really recommend it.

Farallon, Panama: Farallon, also known as Playa Blanca, was just another quiet fishing village with a beautiful stretch of beach prior to 2001. Situated on Panama's Pacific coast, the area is now home to huge resorts owned by the Decameron- and Barcelo hotel chains. Several residential-resort communities have also sprung up in the area, including Coronado, which offers a world-class golf course.
