“for the price I go back”
Price was good and I was satisfied. Employee were nice and they were working hard for keeping the hotel clean and for giving a good service. The Breakfast is more than a continental breakfast.
“I've been to much worse”
Hotel Andino is by Panamanian standards, a three star hotel. For the US it would be somewhere between one and two stars. What made it so tempting when searching on Expedia was the price. The pictures reflect the best angle from the street and the room as well, notwithstanding the surrounding areas which looked like a dump in a dead end street. They speak not not bit of English but were still courteous and helpful. Very patchy and shoddy work for a renovated building. The elevator was scarry too. Still, I would recommend this place because of its central location, close to Avenida Central and Allbrook Mall and waterfront. They serve a great buffet complimentary breakfast and highspeed internet was not a problem in the room. AC worked well and the room was cleaned daily. Our room had four twin size beds for two persons and there is only two temp for the water in the shower - cold and cool
“Good hotel”
Old hotel but clean
“Panama city”
Small price, small service. Efficace.Bien but for one night in transit. The Hotel lived but still serves well. Well if you are alone. I'll have been proud to bring my girlfriend with me. Book a taxi by the hotel was very present in my reach al airport despite the delay of my v
“Not impressed”
I didnét like this hotel
“not very clean, bed bugs, but staff are nice folks”
big difference between web photos of room and actual room. rooms would be ok if a little cleaner. bath room had a sour/musty smell. very little hot water during my 3 day stay. other customers had same problem with hot water. restaurant and bar area were in good condition and breakfast buffet was ok. Air conditioner worked great. only problem - one nite about 2 or 3 am my a/c stopped. early next morning I told front desk and they admitted to turning off a/c units with a central control. they immediately apologized and turned it back on. Worst problem, when I got back to states I broke out with bed bug bites. had 11 of them on my neck. i know the little critters can be anywhere, not just in cheap hotels. they were replacing mattresses during my stay. anyway, I only slept in the hotel and for the price it met my needs.
“there are better choices in the same area”
i found inear by this hotel , another places for the same price in the same hotel's category
“Most hostels are MUCH better than this hotel.”
The experience of staying at this hotel was surreal. There was absolutely NO attempt whatsoever to offer anything that even approached good customer service, which would have made up for the dingy tacky decor, broken furiture and stained bedding. I've seen pet hotels much better than Hotel Andino.
“Don't stay here!”
Don't stay here! For your own good. Very bad service, extremely unfriendly. When I arrived my room was not ready, even though it was past check in time. People at lobby won't even greet you. Room was very unclean, bed sheets smelly, and bathroom urine stinky, even found what it looked like the antennas of a smashed cockroach on a bedroom wall! Safety box (key operated only) didn't work, then I asked for another room, and didn't work either, staff brought me another one (third try) and it was placed on closet, not even drilled to it, anyone could pick it up and leave with it. When I asked why, I was told that there was no problem with this because only the cleaning lady would come in!!!! Unbelievable! Almost no warm water. Breakfast staff very unkind as well, and food was unfresh. Location near Albrook Mall and Albrook airport but dangerous surroundings. I was warned by a taxi driver not to walk around at night. No nice restaurants or convenience stores at walking distance. The only good thing is the free wifi available at rooms and lobby.
“very dirty hotel sheets were used”
when we moved into the room the room was filthy and the covers were used
