Unfortunately the stay at this Hotel was a bad surprise, we had used it before but things have changed, we had an issue with the Front Desk staff as she did not recognized a valid ID in Panama and her attitude was arrogant and kind of rude, it is clear that the Hotel is rundown, the corridor had a terrible humid smell, the furniture was old and the TV is easily 10 years old, it looks like the management is taking advantage of being the only option in the area and clearly does not care to provide a good stay.

When traveling, staying at a brand named hotel is always a good bet. It's not going to be an epic stay neither will it be a disaster. The price will be a little high but not over the top. The service will be adequate but nothing to write home about. Overall, this Holiday Inn was a typical Holiday Inn. It served me well but didn't exceed my expectation of an average good stay.

Panal Canal Hotel
This hotel is really dated and old feeling. They need to update their room furniture (many scuffed, ripped, well used!). Beds were comfortable. The fan in the bathroom made unnecesary noises when being used. Water pressure in shower not great. They could also put some pictures or something on the walls for update. Room was not cosy feeling by any means!!

Thankful the location had availability. Stayed overnight during a protest demonstration. I was unable to get back to my hotel in Casco Viejo after a business meeting in Ciudad de Saber.

Very friendly staff and views of Panama Canal from rooms. Unfortunately, rooms do not have balconies and windows don’t open so the experience of viewing ships in the Canal is diminished. Restaurant options limited to the on site cafe and a Spanish restaurant next door.

I liked that they had a bar and to go food options were really good but check in took a very long time. We booked through expedia and had to email the front desk a screenshot of our reservation, strange process and we didnt love that the pool was only open til 7pm. Very nice staff but property was a bit dated.

I always stay in this hotel when I’m in Panamá city and I’m very pleased with service, clean and comfortable room, awesome breakfast. This time I got a less comfortable room 210 with no refrigerator, no desk or nice bathroom.

Holiday inn Panamá canal
This is a great hotel to stay, across de Panamá Canal, you can see the ships going along the canal (request canal view). Wonderful location, quite and surrounded by nature. I recommend it.

I have no complaints about this place. The staff made me feel like at home and they were always willing to help or assist me with any doubts. The view from the Panama Canal were also amazing and I enjoyed seeing the sunsets every day I could. I'll definitely book there again!

Right across from the canal! We could watch the ships go by from our window… too bad there wasn’t a balcony!😞 Breakfast buffet was descent and room was good Pool was small and area needed a bit of cleaning

Holiday Inn Panama Canal
Our stay was great from the moment we arrived until we left. The room was clean/quiet, and the bed our beds were comfortable. The breakfast bar was awesome and diverse in Panamanian and international food and fruit. We were very pleased with our stay.

I just had to stay there for one night to travel the next morning to Bocas Del Toro. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The upper floor was under construction but I did not hear a thing. TV was first not working but within no time an employee showed up, took the remote, came back with different remote and it worked well. Breakfast next morning is dangerous because it is sooo good. You don’t want to stop putting the great food in your mouth ;-) If I have to stay again overnight in Albrook I will go there again for sure. Unfortunately I did not try the pool area, maybe next time :-)
