I would call this place a classic David Panama hotel. The staff was incredibly nice, professional, and extremely helpful.

My real impression
This Hotel is for the locals, the location is good, parking is limited, internet is good, shower area is very small, closet is small with just 3 hangers offered, there are mosquitoes. Hot water barely hot. Breakfast is really bad and limited; lunch don’t even talk about it. Best hotel in town is hotel Cuidad de David more modern and up to international standards

It was a beautiful historic hotel. The location was lovely, within walking distance of the park and a market. They had a beautiful pool that was quite freezing. I don't understand why a hotel would provide a beautiful pool, with water that is too cold to go into. My room was comfortable however the hotel was not full and the view from my window was looking out at a concrete wall. No view

The hotel was old but had plenty of character. The air conditioner in our room did not work and the refrigerator smelled so bad we could not use it. The front desk was not receptive to any complaints and even ignored me totally when I approached them to state my concerns to them. The front desk people are terribly fude.

Our room was big and clean that had a large patio door that faced out to a nice pool. We had a nice sitting area with a wicker table and chairs outside facing the pool and lovely common area. Big washroom with a great shower. The restaurant served good food and the front desk had a young man on in the evening that spoke good English and gave good advice on things in the area.The only thing we would have liked was English channels available on the tv.

Pretty nice hotel. We only stayed one night. However we were here with a toddler and spend some time at the hotel. There is a lovely pool area with seating, a garden, playground and restaurant in the middle of the hotel. Check in was very smooth even though we were here early. Staff were helpful, even with us barely speaking Spanish. Room was comfortable and basic but worked for our needs. We had to take an Uber out once. The location is good, close to the airport and the medical center we got our COVID tests done at. Room had a bit of a smell and the ceilings look a little old and discoloured. Otherwise, very enjoyable stay.
