“Great view, great location, great bargain.”
This must be one of the most pleasant stays I have ever experienced. This can be rated as an average hotel in the states, but the fact that is in the Amador area makes it perfect for the tourist who wants a little of everything. It is within walking distance to clubs and restaurants. It is also a cheap taxi fair away (or short drive if you dare) to a shopping mall that includes high end fashion as well as local vendors. The view of the canal from the balcony is nothing less than breathtaking. Considering that there are many more expensive restaurants in the center of Panama, staying here can make you feel you got your money's worth. The drinks from TGI Friday are ok, but the food is nothing but the average you get in the states. Instead try one of the many eateries at the end of the cosway and flavor the local cuisine, or one of the international restaurants.
“What a Great Trip”
What a great experience! The staff was friendly and prompt with service, the facility was maintained well, and the access to day trips was right there in the hotel. I look forward to staying at Amador again in the future.
“Wonderful View”
Arrived at the hotel and upgraded our room to a Canal view. It was wonderful. At first, we felt we were a bit removed from Panama City, but later found out we were only 10 minutes away by cab. The Causeway is great for walking and there are a lot of nice resturants in the area. The Balboa Yacht Club which is about 200 yards away is a nice place to get a beer. Armando, who works at the front desk was helpful and charming.
“Great view of Entrance to Panama Canal”
This is a great hotel to stay at if you're going to do the Panama Canal Transit. It is right on the Amador Parkway and the new restaurants and near a Marina.Great view from your window.
“Country Inn Suites Panama Canal”
It was a good experience. It served our purpose. Staff was friendly and place was clean. The view of the ships coming and going throught the Panama Canal is nice and relaxing.

The view of the bay and the Panam Canal were great! Nice pool, not over-crowded. Room service brought the best chicken quesadillas we have had! Taxi service to the Allbrook mall for shopping is the best in Panama City. Best selection and prices. A trip on the Panama Canal Railway is just a short cab ride away. The view from the balcony at the room to sit and watch the boats and ships was excellent. The hotel helped us arrange the taxi-cabs, they were very reasonable.
“Very nice, US style hotel”
A fine hotel with all the usual amenities. Wish the continental breakfast was a bit less North American and a bit more tropical.
“Excelent service and location”
We were treated very nice, nice people working there and the location of the hotel could not be better, it faces the panama canal.
“Mouth of canal quiet comfort”
We are not city people so were looking for a quiet place and found it. Right at the mouth of the Panama Canal, we had a balconey room where we could see the ships passing through, bird watch and just laze back. Great breakfast buffet every morning. TGIFriday restaurant connected for room service or eat in. Easter weekend not good for shoppers as most shops close Friday/Sunday.
“I will be back again>>>>”
I loved this hotel, it was very clean, very nice looking, the room was excellent, but mostly the services was like not other hotel in Panama. It was by far more than I was expecting. Thank you, Expedia and continue the good work.
