“Its OK”

Good service but the rooms were a bit dated compared to some of the other nice hotels in Panama City. They do not have free internet, they charge you $11 a day and it's not reliable, it goes in and out constantly.

This is was good hotel....clean rooms ...the reception could have been upgraded...but overall not bad for the money. Close to all the local restaurants.

“Still good value...”

Continental is one of the first modern hotels built in Panama. It has a Latin American flavor...Built in the 60"s, it is not the most modern hotel in Panama (the air conditioning is noisy), but it is clean, well maintained, and reasonably well located (I have a particular penchant for Lebanese food and the Beirut Restaurant is right around the corner... the jewelry store next door... La Huaca run by Stefano Alessi... is the best in Panama). I also like the bar although the organ is only played on Tuesday nights now. Breakfast is a bit off... No more fresh orange juice, and some of the fruit was less than fresh. Most guests go for the buffet, so they choose their preference, but I prefer to sit out by the pool and get waited on. Service was sometimes a bit slow... got the impression the staff would have preferred I serve myself. Checking in can be challenging, particularly if their is a group checking in at the same time. I always thought they could put their back entrance to better use by checking in the groups there.

“Middle of the Road Hotel, decent service, location”

This hotel is middle of the road by most all standards. The complimentary breakfast buffet was a nice perk. I should point out, also, that the service and check in staff were friendly. The business center was open every day, with late closing hours on Saturday night for last minute email checks and internet access. Rooms were clean and comfy, but definitely show signs of use. If you like to gamble, the casino is built right into the hotel complex. It is literally a 30 second walk from the main elevator. Slots and table games are offered.

“Nice hotel, but lots of traffic noise.”

I had a fourth floor streetside room and the traffic noise and honking was almost continous from about 6 AM until past midnight.
