We stayed here for a night and had a double room. Room was comfortable but dated. I’m not sure when this motel was originally built (maybe the 1950s?) but clearly a quick hipster renovation. Old hotel with a new coat of paint and some trendy artwork. The ubiquitous turntable is the only thing that was missing. Some lights were out in bathroom. All in all in was fine but expensive for what it was as it used to be a 2 star motel most likely before quick makeover and now twice the price. The pool was nice but we didn’t use. Location is about a ten minute drive to main strip.

Just absolutely loved my stay here. Kind and attentive staff, delicious food/drinks. The most gorgeous setting and pool. Very much a hotel where they've thought of everything to make it easy/chill for guests staying. From being able to text with front desk for any questions/checkout info to free spf by the pool, great breakfast. Just loved it.

Upon arrival, we were greeted exceptionally well. The place is immaculate with lots of space to go and find and chill. The three pools are wonderful. it is definitely recommend and we will stay here again. Everyone is super friendly and Del Ray restaurant was superb. Can’t wait to return. Joanne

The rooms are big and full of mid century charm and individuality. Very comfortable bed. Great shower pressure. Wonderful amenities in the room (booze, snacks, Nespresso machine). The staff was wonderful and attentive, the pool was heated and relaxing. Truly a special yet quiet place to stay for a few nights. They also had bikes you could use. Would recommend choosing the Villa Royale, if back in Palm Springs I wouldn't hesitate to patronize again.

A very charming and hip property with wonderful staff. We really enjoyed our weekday stay and would highly recommend this hotel! They have bikes to rent, a nice pool bar, and the hotel restaurant was delicious with great cocktails. There are a number of other excellent bars and restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel is nestled in a very nice midcentury modern neighborhood. It's a small property, so I can imagine weekends with weddings or other on-site events could be disruptive, but our weekday stay was perfection.

Almost, not quite 5 star
Pluses: vintage, authentic property; generally excellent service; quiet; individual very cool rooms, very good food. Minuses: tv didn’t work until day 2 despite service requests and attempts; requested maid service didn’t occur, 3 issues with bathroom (slow shower drain almost completely stopped by day 3. How does housekeeping not notice the drain?). Enjoyed the food but was overpriced. Deposit was not credited towards final bill, waiting for the credit. Still, an enjoyable stay that earned five stars in some regards and is better than than the minuses would suggest.

The warm royale
I’m so happy i chose this hotel. I’m blessed to do a lot of traveling so I experience all types of places to stay. This hotel is warm, professional, clean and classy. I stayed here during “hurricane Hillary” and still had a good time despite all the water Palm Springs took on that weekend. The staff was tops. I plans to stay here again in the future and I’m good with letting my loved ones know to stay here too peace.

Excellent vibes in room and throughout the property. Must hit happy hour in the Del Rey. Excellent drinks and atmosphere. Windows and thin walls allow for a lot of noise as guests roam the property. We stayed in a larger villa with kitchen and it was roomy. Bathroom is tiny!

This is the getaway that everyone needs. From the moment we stepped on the property we were immediately taken by the charm of this hotel. The staff was very welcoming, check-in was a breeze. The room itself was spacious, spotless and stocked with everything you would need. While we didn’t have time to eat at the restaurant, the drinks were delicious and the menu is something we will definitely be back to try.

My favorite part was how quiet and private it felt. We were there on a week day and had the place mostly to ourselves. Staff very friendly, pool warm, drinks delicious. I’d definitely go back. Downside was that it’s not walkable to downtown, and finishes didn’t feel super high end, but certainly can’t be beat for the price.
