Pleasant ambiance

Posted 3-Mar-2015
We enjoyed a one night stay at the hotel. The free shuttle bus stops just down the road and it provided us with easy transportation to the downtown. Because of the weather, we did not use the pool area but it looked very nice. The room was adequate with a very large TV and a fridge which came in handy. The breakfast was what you would expect and the breakfast room was very pleasant.

Perfect location in town near the historic area.

Pros: We enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tubs outside. Very clean and nice landscaping around pool area. The property was impressive.
Location: Location to shopping and dinning was great. The view of the mountains is excellent.
We enjoyed our stay and plan on returning in the future.

weekend get away in PS

Posted 27-Feb-2015
Pros: the grounds are fairly nice, but the pool furniture is cheap plastic stuff that you would find at Target.
Cons: I would sugest getting some people for the front desk that have some personallity and manners, get some decent beds and linens and towels.
Location: the location is fine and the billy reed restaurant nearby is good
The problem is I waited too long to make a room reservation, so I picked Ivy Palms. the room looked fine for the first 20 seconds, but it had hard wood floors and they were filthy. there was a desk, but no chair or loveseat, so had to sit on the bed for 3 nights. the bed was the worst I have every slept in. when i complained to the manager, she proceeded to tell me all about HER bad back and that a really firm bed was better for me. It felt like a box spring, with a very lumpy mattress pad on it. after three nights, i felt like i had gone 10 rounds with Floyd Mayweather. the room attendant never re-filled the coffee supply or re-filled the empty kleenex box. the breakfast was nothing to write home about either. the waffles had been made up beforehand, so they were cold and the syrup flowed like molasses. Overall, I was very disappointed in the place.

Very beautiful grounds with two pools.

Posted 22-Feb-2015
Pros: We pretty much liked everything, especially the staff.
Cons: Hotel could use some remodeling and the continental breakfast was a little weak. We're used to pastries and yogurt being offered and there was none.
We had a wonderful stay at Ivy Palms. We were transferred to another room on second floor with an absolute beautiful view, The first room was unacceptable. Staff was very eager to please and very helpful. Would stay here again. The bed was wonderful and very comfortable. The first room faced the parking lot and we were told it was "mountain view". On the second floor we had an incredible view of the beautiful grounds with the mountains in the background.

nice, clean and comfortable.

Posted 18-Feb-2015
Pros: Usually check out time is at 10 but at this hotel it was at 12. Those 2 hours really made a big difference.
Cons: I have no complaints or recommendationsl.
Location: It was right at entrance to downtown Palm Springs. Restaurants and shopping were plentiful.
Went up for a bike ride. Enjoyed the pool and the Jacuzzi, especially after riding 25miles. The breakfast was also good.

Resort with charm

Posted 13-Feb-2015
Pros: There's no resort fee which other hotels tack on.
Location: The location is near the tram, downtown and casinos.
We have stayed here several times during the past year. We like the location of the hotel, the pool area is very nice and peaceful with 2 large jacuzzis. Breakfast is available and the staff is very friendliness. Would definitely come back again.

Awful

Posted 9-Feb-2015
Left within minutes of checking in. The room had two queen beds which when we sat on them turned out to be box springs with some quilting on the top! Impossibly hard, no way to sleep on them. The manager at the front desk offered no apology, no explanation...... Just asked for my credit card to refund the room rate. Luckily we were able to find a beautiful room at Palm Mountain Resort which was fabulous.
