We arrived late, but still, knowing that we were headed for the spa, Sandy (the owner) stayed around to light (and then I suppose un-light) the candles surrounding the spa. In the morning, I spent several lovely hours sitting by the pool, gazing a Mt. San Jacinto, talking to Sandy, with an occasional dip in the warm pool waters. My mother and I would have been content to spend the entire day there.
The owners (Sandy and Shah) are in the process of updating the rooms. Shah showed me two of them; both very clean, sleek and modern, but still unpretentious.

My husband and I stayed at The Old Ranch Inn for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. This hotel is in the perfect location, a short walk to downtown Palm Springs. It is quaint, inviting and comfortable. The rooms are well laid out and the pool is heated. There are only 8 rooms, a great size and the facilities are never busy or crowded. A nice size for mingling and getting to know the other quests. Every morning there is coffee, tea and fresh fruit served around the pool and the owners of this hotel are very friendly and helpful. We will defiantly be returning to this wonderful little gem.

We had a lovely time at this hotel. JM did a brilliant job of welcoming us when we arrived. The cocktails and hors D'oeuvres on an afternoon are great. The pool was lovely and the view of the mountains was great. We loved our stay here and would definitely return.

We stayed for 3 nights in late August 2014 and had a beautifully relaxing stay. Met several interesting people and felt completely at ease. Staff were friendly and helpful in advising of local attractions and dining/clubbing activities. We loved the privacy and completely relaxed atmosphere.

We had the best time at Alcazar! We arrived a little early and were happy to find that our room was ready and we were able to check in right away. The room was bright and airy with amazing views of the pool, palms, and mountains. The staff was so nice and welcoming. The grounds were so clean and lush. We felt like we were hidden away in our own private resort. The hotel provides coffee and pastries for breakfast and brunch and we were pleasantly surprised that they also sold very reasonable beer, wine, champagne and liquor through the breakfast room by the front desk. If we can stay on site and get a yummy bottle of Rose for $26 - done. We would definitely recommend Alcazar and we are looking forward to our next visit.

What a beautiful place! From driving up, checking in and being personally escorted to our room and shown around the lush grounds, this place was a wonderful relaxing getaway. There are beautiful plants, flowers, fountains and mountain views everywhere! Our room was spacious and well-decorated with a lovely view out onto the gardens and fountains. Breakfast was delicious (I especially loved that I got to make my own French press of coffee and soy milk was offered), and I have not one complaint about our stay at this hotel. Quiet, tranquil, romantic, relaxing and beautiful. Will definitely come back and stay here the next time we come to the Palm Springs/Desert Hot Springs area.
