The Cathedral Canyon Golf and Tennis Club offers 18 holes of golf, a pro shop, golf lessons, a driving range, and tennis courts. This Cathedral City resort also includes an outdoor pool, a children’s pool, fitness equipment, and a spa tub. The resort’s Activities Center includes billiards, air hockey, darts, and Ping-Pong tables and hosts activities and classes. An arcade is next to the Activities Center.

“Great Place to Stay!”
The room was very large and comfortable. It came with a kitchen, which is very convenient. The pool area was nice. Swimming is open until 11pm which was a nice change from the usual. Also has a game room with lots of activities for families. All in all, a great place to stay for a nice getaway.
“Fun and Laid-back”
The room was very spacious; large bathroom space, closets, and kitchen had everything we needed. A very family friendly place, kids activities in the game room. The pool was large enough for lounging on air mattresses, kids playing and still did not feel crowded. Plenty of parking and it is located in the middle of all the family activities. Close to malls and uptown shopping. Plus lots of restaurants just down the street. Definitely need a car, but everything is close. Our towels got changed and garbages dumped daily if needed. A luxury family spot, but not for intimate getaways. Loved it!!
“What can I say ............ "The Bomb"”
I don't know where to start. But I guess the fact that it's Couple Friendly, Kid Friendly, Senior Friendly, no Pets but hey that's ok. This Place is just great. Well Kept, Huge Rooms, Activities all day long for everyone, Awesome Pool with Bar and Snack Shack....................Best Bang for the Buck in my life. It is a timeshare hotel, so you may get a few offers to take the tour, but they cater to you either way. We loved it so much we just may have to buy one. No Better place in the area. A Winner for Families, Couples, Seniors, you name it you got it. TIP: If you are a smoker, request a 1st Floor Room, smoking is allowed on downstairs patios but not on upstairs Balconies, they are carpeted.
“Would stay here again”
When my fiance and I first pulled into the resort parking lot we saw a huge sign that read Lawrence Welk's Desert Oasis and being in our early thirties we were mortified. Honestly, if Expedia had listed the full name I probably would have booked elsewhere because I would assume it's for older people but we had a great time. The cleaning staff was amazing and the workout room and pool were in great order and very clean. We chose the kitchenette to save a few bucks on breakfast and lunch and they had everything we needed to cook with. My only complaint is that the computer in the rec room used to get on the Internet is not free like most hotels. Using the Internet to check email or search for things to do outside the tourist activities are very necessary. I would definitely stay here again.
“A very clean and quite place to relax”
Upon arriving at the Desert Oasis resort (actually called Laurence Welk Desert Oasis) I found it to be 90% time share owners. The resort is geared for older clients. In other words, dont expect a bunch of hot bodys around the pool. I am younger (34) and I found the resort to be a nice, quiet place to relax. The rooms are stocked with every amenity and are very very clean. I would definitly come here again.
“great hotel for families”
despite the somewhat outdated decor, this was a very nice hotel. very comfortable, two tv sets, a separate bedroom, and a full kitchen...everything one would want on vacation. in terms of activities, we really enjoyed the aerial tramway, the living desert, and the brazilian churrascaria steakhouse Picanha. this was our first vacation in palm springs and we will definitely go back.
“Comfortable”
The hotel room was very roomy and comfortable, though the shower water temperature did have problems fluctuating between cold and warm. Nonetheless, the hotel was very comfortable, and a close drive from downtown Palm Springs.

We definately enjoyed our stay. Our kids were so entertained with all the activities. The staff was very nice. you can relax or play
“Great Place to Stay with Young Kids”
This was a great hotel to stay with kids. They had a recreation center that had ping pong, pool tables and lots of games to check out that appealed to all ages. We spent a couple of hours there with our 3 and 5 year old and they were very entertained. The pool was great too. Having a separate bedroom also works well with the kids - we didn't have to have "lights out" when they went to bed.
“Very satisfied”
I thought this property was well maintained and the staff was very helpful. The view of the mountain was spectacular. I would definitely go back there again. I would advise guests to request a room with a view of the golf course or swimming pool, however.
