“Charming and good value”

I spent one night in November 2008, wanted to return for another night in December, but the hotel was fully booked. It is ideally located off the main street in a beautiful garden, very appealing and quiet, good restaurants nearby and a 15 minute walk to the cente of town.

“Quiet and convenient location”

I picked the hotel following reviews on trip advisor. I was able to walk there from the bus station with my bags. Thet room (104) was large with 2 double beds, cable tv. Large hot shower but small bathroom. There was air con and a fan. The air con was so loud I couldn't use it and sleep. I could also hear next doors air con in the night but other guests told me there's was not a problem There was a pool which is mainly in the shade and could do with a clean. I spent an hour 1 afternoon taking leaves out of it. Across the road is a great bar and restaurant. Fantastic garlic prawns and ceviche.the margarita was also good and reasonably priced. I ate here a lot. You can get a collectivo to the ruins from the roundabout a couple of mins from the hotel. Because of the reasonable price for what you get I would recommend staying here.

“Highly recommended”

Excellent hotel, especially for the 'outback' of Mexico. The only issue was some morning construction noise nearby (nothing the hotel can do about that!). Hey it's Mexico, you gotta let some things slide. Staff was great, room was clean, nice (if a little small) pool in the courtyard. Good location, nearby lots of restaurants and centro. I'll be back.

“A Relaxing Space”

We were only here for a night and two days to see the ruins, but really was impressed with this hotel. When we got back from the ruins we hung out by the pool and just relaxed, it was lovely. The hotel is a short walk to Palenque township which we found safe to wonder around any time of the day/night. The room was spacious and clean with a nice bathroom and balcony. The following day we were catching a bus out of Palenque at 5pm and the staff allowed us to chill out by the pool reading before we made our way to the bus station. Really had a lovely time here. Would recommend with no worries!

“Excellent value, service, excellent location.”

Hotel Chablis has been one of our favorite properties to date. It is great value for they money you pay: very clean, comfortable beds/towels and excellent and friendly staff. There was construction going on during our stay and the staff offered a room next door at their sister property instead. We took our chances and stayed at the Chablis liking the feel and vibe there. We were not dissapointed! The noise was minimal and stopped by 4pm which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the pool and outdoor area. Great internet connection, cable TV with many English channels and hot water. Its set in a nice area under beautiful tall trees. We loved the peaceful setting, warm genuine service and access to all needed by just a short walk. Just a short walk away on the main road, we caught a local collectivo to Palenque for 10pesos each and Agua Azul for 30pesos.

“Tranquil and low-key, great rates”

Very clean, sweet little hotel in Palenque's La Canada hotel district. Rooms are extremely clean, as is the pool and hotel grounds. The only drawbacks are no food or coffee on site, but that is easily overcome by visiting this hotel's sister property located very near by, or one of the excellent coffee shops also in the area.

“Chablis in Palenque”

The hotel has a swimming pool which really is lovely considering the hot and humid conditions in Palenque. The staff were lovely and always on hand. The rooms were very clean, with complimentary bottled water which was replenished daily. The air conditioning and fan a must but we couldn't get a minimum optimum at night time (either a bit too cold or if switched off, too stuffy). The hotel is in a street where most hotels are found, about 10 minutes walk from the bus terminal. It seems to be part of or has a business relationship with Hotel Maya Tulipanes, so they will refer you to this hotel for breakfast (they give you a 10% discount voucher) and meals. However, we didn't take up offer as we found it too expensive. Overall we found the hotel very satisfactory and a welcome relief after spending all day in such humid and hot conditions.

“Spartan but friendly”

We were expecting something a bit more charming and cozy, so the spartanness of the hotel was a bit of a disappointment. But the staff were as friendly and helpful as could be, the location was excellent, and overall we were very satisfied.

“A pleasant place in Palenque”

The town doesnt have much on offer for tourists beyond a few restaurants, so dont worry that you're a little out of town in the hotel zone. The only thing you're there to see is the ruins anyway. The hotel was clean and tidy. If you cant carry your own bags up two flights of stairs, request a bottom level room as there's no bell boy. There is construction next door but it didnt cause us any trouble. In fact it was quite interesting to watch how things are done in Mexico. Be carefull which restaurants you choose in the hotel zone. some of them are a bit average.

“Staff welcome with smile”

Hotel staff welcome us with smile and we felt comfortable. The location is good to access to the center of the town yet very calm.
