Blue Tile Beach House offers 6 accommodations with washers/dryers and DVD players. Balconies open to ocean, sea, or mountain views. Each accommodation is individually furnished and decorated. Memory foam beds feature signature bedding and Egyptian cotton linens. Kitchens offer full-sized refrigerators/freezers, stovetops, separate dining areas, and cookware/dishes/utensils. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations and bidets.
Guests can surf the web using the complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access. Premium cable television is provided. Additionally, rooms include coffee/tea makers and ceiling fans. Irons/ironing boards and extra towels/bedding can be requested. Housekeeping is provided daily.

“Blue Tile was great”
Great place to stay especially for the money. If cost is a factor then this is a perfect spot. Staff are excellent very friendly. Enjoyed getting to know other guests staying there and walking to and from Paia not a problem at all. Would highly recommend this B&B, although keep in mind you will have to cook breakfast for yourself but that was something we enjoyed, and Blue Tile supplied all of the food for their guests. Everyone staying there was happy with the experience, including us. Maui is wonderful, Paia is a great little discovery, and the beaches nearby were excellent. Would highly recommend this experience over staying in one of the more tourist-y areas of the island.
“Best Place to stay -- LOVED IT!”
When I first drove up to this Beach House I thought -- oh no, did I make a mistake? Because there was surfing equipment around and the entrance is actually the back of the house, and it just looks like, well, somebody's house! But was I in for the best surprise... The house is incredibly open and comfortably appointed, with gorgeous wood floors and interesting one of a kind, rich wood furniture. Our room (I highly recommend the Plumeria Room!) had its own lanai overlooking the fountain and the ocean. The private bath was across a hall, but I never saw another soul a single time I went to it. We opened our door to the lanai at night, just leaving the screen shut and listened to the crashing of the waves and enjoyed the ocean air. I came with a cold and it was gone after the first night there. Also there is a public access to the beach right next to the house and one of the best beaches around literally right in our back yard. We watched the surfers every morning as we breakfasted in the back yard overlooking the ocean. It was AMAZING! Liam the innkeeper and Tyra, the housekeeper, were friendly and informative, and we absolutely adored them both. They are both very athletic and active in the islands' water sports as well - just ask Liam for a kite surfing lesson! The nearby town, Paia is what we liked to call "hippy dippy" which we also loved -some of the best eats on the island right there -- try the Fish Market and Ono Gelato ("sandy beach" flavor"). A++++++++++++++!
“Loved it!!”
I loved the Blue Tile House. It is abit dated but clean and cozy with a very relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful beach!! Not for those who want the whole tourist package. Does not have airconditioning or a pool. Who needs that with wonderful ocean breezes and the beach!! Located just outside Paia, cute little surfer town and close to the best surfer beach on the island. Will come back again. Thanks
“Wonderful place to stay!!”
If you are looking for a homey atmosphere, not a resort, this is your place. While staying at Blue Tile Beach House you are staying in someone's home with other couples / families. Guests have access to the entire beach house (except other bedrooms). The atmosphere is very laid back and informal. Don't expect to be pampered, in many ways it's like staying with family. All guests have access to a kitchen stocked with breakfast foods, fruit, juice, milk, coffee, and basic sandwich makings. The kitchen has full size refrigerator and there is a gas grill outside. You can prepare any meals you want and there is room to store food you purchase. There is a small beach that is open to the public. Beach towels are provided in addition to normal bathroom towels. Blue Tile Beach House is on Maui's North Shore on the Hana Highway, about ten miles from Kahului (airport location), just outside of Paia. If you like surfing, wind surfing, or watching either - this is a great place to stay. There is a beach park about a mile east where there is a lot of surfing and wind surfing. Another beach park is about 2 miles west that is good for walking, finding shells, etc. Both of the beach parks have lifeguards.
“In love with Maui”
We stayed at the beach house for 9 days and have fallen in love with Pa'ia. We went around the entire Island and the north shore was our favorite place to be. We ended up meeting several different couples and families and have made some lasting friendships. If you like a very laid back place to stay, this is it. We loved the shared kitchen, having meals with others helps you to find out another point of view of the wonders of Maui. If we go back I know where we will stay. Liam is a great host and full of knowledge and stories. Mahalo!!
