"Comfortable stay close to Oxford city centre"
A generally decent, clean hotel close to the city center - reachable by the number 6 bus close to the hotel vicinity (about 15 min bus ride, bus arriving approx every 20mins). Basic services, but not quite 4 star.. room lacked basic amenities such as a mini fridge and was stingy with the shampoo/body wash (did not refresh despite that there was 1/3 of product left in each mini bottle). Was disappointed that we were not offered breakfast despite paying £87/night. Staff was generally pleasant but did not go out of their way to make our stay more pleasant (I was very thirsty upon check in and was told that they would send water to my room - but this was never received). Room was in fairly good condition and quiet as we specifically asked for a quiet room.

"Beautiful country hotel"
I stayed here whilst visiting the area and was very pleasantly surprised after a trip into Banbury. Only 5 minutes drive from what is essentially a bit of a spoilt old town, is this hotel situated in beautiful countryside. The room was perfectly pleasant (although a bit hot) but the point of difference for me were the wonderful staff. Helpful in every possible way and obviously take a great deal of pride in their job - a breath of fresh air. Not expensive considering you get an enormous offering for breakfast included in the room rate. Would definitely stay here again.

"Excellent hotel close to the town centre"
I stayed here on the night of 21st February 2015. The hotel was clean, bright and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and polite. My room was comfortable and very well equipped. Hotel showers sometimes aren't the best, but the one I had in the Banbury House was really powerful with plenty of hot water.

"Overnight visit to Oxford"
We chose this hotel because of it's location. It is located close to a park & ride lot so you can catch a bus to Oxford, rather than try to drive and park there. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool but it was closed the next morning due to mechanical failure. It is difficult finding this hotel even when using our GPS. Otherwise this was a pleasant overnight stay.

"Decent, pleasant hotel"
I stayed here for five nights for a business trip. I found it to be a convenient, comfortable location and with decent amenities. There is a quick path to the Thames River Walk, which provided a few miles of walking, running, and people watching. This also provided an easy way to get to the town center. You could the mile or so to the center by way of the sidewalk or you can go to the river path and avoid a bit of the traffic. I found the breakfast to be good and was very pleased they served small pots of coffee (I am American). I would have wished it opened a bit earlier but I am an early riser. I wished I could have had a mini-refrigerator in my room so I could have stocked up on a few things for my lunches. I also wished the gym/fitness room was open longer hours. But I would definitely go back here in the future.

"Lovely hotel, great service; limited food choice"
We spent a long weekend at the hotel with my husband. The hotel is located just off the motorway, but luckily our room faced the other way and it was very quiet. The service at the hotel was outstanding, especially from the staff at reception. We made use of the swimming pool, which was lovely. It is only 1.2m deep, so ideal for families and nervous swimmers. The room was spacious and clean with a lovely bath and power shower. The only reason I have not given the hotel 5 stars is that the food choices were rather limited (the menu had steak, burgers, fish and a few choices of salad) and not very well catered for dietary requirements (I am lactose intolerant and a large portion of the menu had dairy in it and unfortunately they did not offer alternatives). Also, on the Saturday the restuarant was fully booked, if you are staying here, I would recommend booking a table (or you can eat at the bar/order room service). Other than that, we really enjoyed our weekend and we would recommend the hotel to our friends and family.

"Very attentive staff and a real designer hotel "
The staff were very well trained and the rooms were very comfortable although the standard room we had was a little on the small size. The breakfast was well cooked and the waitresses were very attentive. We would definitely stay again but would ask for a bigger room if staying for more than a night. Sadly we didn't have time to see and use the spa facilities. A classy hotel indeed.
