“An okay place to lay your head while traveling”

Not my first choice but when there is nothing else available you got to go with what you can find. Standard motel issue bedding and condiments. Pleasant staff. Great football game Ole Miss vs LSU, Good guys win!

“Not What I Expedited...”

The motel is a bit run down. It appears that an attempt to refurbish the motel was unsuccessful because poor workmanship and cheap materials were used. Cold air blew under the door because there was not door sweep or weather strip. The bedside lamp kept shoring out due to a short in the wall outlet. Straight ammonia was used to mop the bathroom floor leaving a sticky residue on the floor. The ice and vending was in a distant location. The desk clerk was unfriendly without a smile. The web photos are better than the actual upclose appearance. One website on the motel indicates that it is on a lake which is inaccurate. The carpet was filthy and soiled my white socks.

“Smokeymess”

The worse experience ever! Upon entering the room, it smelled like a smokey filled room. The room evidently had not been cleaned, or aired out. Instanly after walking in just to sit my luggage down, with the first breath of smoke my allergies started, by the time I left (I was only there for the weekend) I couldn't talk. This made the rest of my trip unbearable. After putting my bags down my son and I noticed that several of the light bulbs were out. I sent my son to the first desk to tell them about the bulbs. The person at the front desk sent my son back to the room with a pack of light bulbs for us to change them out ourselves. It didn't matter that one of the bulbs was in the ceiling in the hall. This could really be a pleasant property with a little more effort from management. If the staff had been more efficient, it wouldn't matter that the property is old and outdated.

“no security.”

Young men in room 102 partied all night, barbecued in the parking lot, and I'm sure they had women there as I heard female voices. We turned the air conditioner up and were able to sleep that way. Had we booked more days,we wouldn't have stayed at that motel, and we won't be back!!!

“ROOMS NEED CLEANING!!!!!”

The hotel needs to be cleaned. The rooms were dirty and the linen disgusting.

“Not What You Would Expect...”

It appears that an attempt was made by the hotel owner to refurbish a 40 year old Holiday Inn. It is missing a sense of ownership pride. The "non smoking" room had cigarette burns holes everywhere. The sofa had stains. The bathroom floor sticky and had the smell and appearance that ammonia was used. The maintenance job was second hand with caulking poorly used and poor quality plumbing. The sink faucet in the bathroom was backwards with the hot faucet on the left and the cold faucet on the right. The front door did not have a proper door sweep. Cold air was blowing in under the door. After walking on the carpet in my white socks I found they were soiled due to the dirt in the carpet. The vending was not in close proximity to the room.
