Pour une nuit ca va ....
Hotel de type appartement complet tres fonctionnel. Les lits sont confortables et la literie est propre. Cependant la propreté generale de l'établissement laisse a desirer. Les tapis du hall sont sâles et aucune confiance a ceux de la chambre. Des rénovations s'imposent

Immeuble en mauvais état
Infestation de perces-oreille. On avait deux chambres et les deux en avaient. Vaisselle sale à notre arrivée. Le frigo coule, présence d'infiltration d'eau au plafond (taches brunes dans le mur). Les lits étaient confortables, air clim fonctionnelle. Assez confortable pour y passer la nuit et pour ne pas y rester durant la journee est le verdict de notre gang d'amis. La réception n'est pas ouverte 24h/24 alors faites sur de faire votre check in avant que les employés ne quittent les lieux.

J'ai bien aimé mon séjour dans cet établissement, il est très calme et à 5 mn en voiture de la plage du port ou à une demi-heure de Sauble beach et à 1h30 de Tobermory et le parc national de la péninsule de Bruce. Il y a à proximité Walmart, Tim Horton et autres. Cependant, j'étais déçue en ce qui concerne la propreté. Les draps, la couverte ainsi que la courte pointe étaient très salles, mais le propriétaire m'en a donnes quand j'ai réclamé. Contrairement à ce qui mentionné dans leir site, l'établissement ne dispose pas de buanderie.

This hotel needs more than tender loving care. The bed was comfortable and looked clean til you looked under bed and found used socks and water bottle The internet was spotty and the tv never did work a nice young guy tried to fix it Helena at check in was very friendly and helpful

I booked this Motel for four nights. I checked in and attended my room. It was not satisfactory. Everything is dated and old. The bed linens were “well used”. Walls and ceiling were peeling, ect. Overall it was unsatisfactory, so after a minute and thirty seconds I notify the front desk that the room and motel were not to my liking and I will be staying elsewhere. They charged me for an overnight stay. Horrible place. Horrible policy. I do not recommend.

Checking in had to call to do that, no one on front desk. Supposed to be smoke free wasn't. Had to have all window and doors open. Mouse dropping and wet under kitchen sink in the dish drain tray. Drawer with utensils was not clean and strainer was rusty. Bathroom tub faucet was lose.

The property is very old. I believe it was a former apartment building that they turned into a motel which they have put very little money into unfortunately. If you just need a place to rest your head then this place is okay. Certainly priced higher than it should be. The whole property needs a face lift. Missing some of the amenities offered.. Coffee no Coffee maker, missing light bulbs, loose bathroom fixtures. I could go on but will put it plainly the place really needs a lot of work... Like I said, if you're looking for a place to rest your head, then this place will do, but it's far over priced for that. Spend the extra and go somewhere else you'll be glad you did.They say live and learn .... I did lol

I stayed at this property many years ago. Unfortunately it has not been maintained. The first sign is the smell of cigarette smoke the minute you enter the building. Within the room, again the smell of smoke, and musty smell put me off. I was going to stay three nights but quickly cancelled the last two. The walls and ceiling had holes and disrepair. Patio doors were filthy. Air conditioner cord in bedroom was stretched across the base of bed being a tripping hazard. Carpet filthy. The shower spout almost came off the wall when turning on the shower. We got one shower towel one hand towel and one face cloth for me and my husband. Hardly enough for one shower for the both of us. This used to be a good spot to stay but not anymore.

Was quiet but the fire door leading to the office from the rooms was locked which might lead to some one getting hurt during a fire. Room was a nice size with a fridge, stove and microwave but there was no tv in the bedroom. I would stay there again.

I will never ever stay at this place again. I have stayed at a 1* and this place would not even rate a 1/4 * Mold covered shower curtain, 1960’s painted paneling that looks like it would fall of at anytime. The couch OMG it looked like it could have came from a dump. Slept on top of bed with my own blankets from my Jeep the tossed them out in the morning.

There was no staff at the front desk. I had to yell about 6 times. The room was not really clean, cob webs, wallpaper coming off the wall, I believe it was moldy. The bed was very comfortable, thats the only reason I stayed and everyplace else was booked. Entrance carpet was dirty. A little bit of cleaning would do wonders.

Ok for the kitchenette but very few utensils and pots. Carpets in the corridors very dirty. Very dirty in the corners and next to the stove. Outdated plumbing. The installation of the air conditioner tinkered and questionable. Cramped bathroom with only a small sink.

Rooms where not the cleanest we had to go buy a toaster cuz theres was terrible dishes dirty. Matress stained and blankets had holes.filter i ac needed cleaning and lady said i could clean it. Could not find anyone when you needed them.we had to buy toliet paper cuz we could not find anyone. Police came there cuz of fight in parking lot.another day ambulance came with drunk lying in parking lot. Didnt supply everything no can opener and some rooms had full fridge we only had bar fridge.would not recomend it to noone

Hello, this is Sand Castle Motel. You booked one bedroom suite, but you were here with your mother, so we offer you a Family room. And you always asked us what you need and we were there. and your room was closed to office, you could call me, or let me know, but you never ask for toilet paper, even we had conversation.

Needs a lot of cleaning . Vacuuming all over. Carpets r filthy and sofa bed belongs in garbage covered with black tape. Very uncomfortable and very old old couch. And also dirty . Not the same place since diff owners took over. Have to go ask for clean towels and toilet paper. We go for beach. This was cheapest place to stay and now we know . Mattresses filthy also

I like The fact that there are some great amenities around the hotel, from food to pharmacies to gas station and especially coffee shops !! The motel itself could use some love but over great motel!

Hello, this is Sand Castle Motel. I'm sorry for your experience here. We should check fridge and freezer before you check in. We will check more meticulously. However, if you told us as soon as you find out, then we could move you to another room or clean it right away. But you told us when you check out, so we gave you discount for apology and you were happy about that. And now you are writing review like this then it will give bad impact to us.

If you don't mind the built up dust dirt and grime then it's the start for you. Air conditioning didn't work. There was a hole in the screen so I couldn't open the window at night. You could see the built up grim on the cupboards, walls and ceiling. It was however quiet and the wifi worked. It was also very close to everything including the beach

The place needs an overhaul of TLC. It has lots of space and great amenities like a full kitchen and a sofa and comfy bed and really good shower but needs a painting and cleaner windows and a little style put into it. It really could be a gold mine for the owners it more money was put into it

Was a great stay in a great location. Staff is awesome and if toure going to stay in port elgin i highly reccomend choosing the sand castle as your hotel.
