“Just OK- but front desk service is not up to par”

Front desk staff were not very friendly. This was not my first time staying here (my friends and I stay here every year en route to our yearly Bruce Pennisula trip) so I 'let it go' (the attitude and unfriendliness) and besides we were all tired from the long drive so just wanted to get to our room to relax. The front desk didn't have a line up so we got waited on right away but they were very curt, unfriendly, and acted like they didn't really want to be there/wait on us. Not warm and welcoming as one would expect in this line of business. AND there was a misunderstanding as to the room I booked vs what I always stay in and front desk was very diplomatic, curt, and non apologetic or accomodating - we were just going to leave and stay somewhere else, but it was only for one night and we just avoided front desk the rest of our stay. As I say we stay here every year more so for convenience and because its one of the 'better' hotels in the area as far as modern decor (although they do need to upgrad their non-suite rooms and their linens herein); cleanliness; and amenities - there's NO POOL, however the hot tub and sauna suited us just fine for the one night's stay. Breakfast (included) is great - a variety to choose from. Comfortable and clean. Not cheap (in fact expensive for the area) but ok.

“Over priced”

High priced was informed that they were the elight hotel for Owen Sound. They had no pool for the kids. Front desk receiption very rude.
