2 night break
A great room at the top of the building with an outside balcony. The room was not secure however as it could be accessed via the door from the outside of the balcony which had a broken lock. The hotel was alerted to this on our arrival but despite being assured that it would be addressed, it was not with no plausible excuse given on our departure. It was highly unlikely that someone would access the room from the balcony but it is a possibility and therefore should have been sorted immediately. This is my only gripe as the location and all else was sound.

The hotel has a carpet that needs to be replace. No restaurant, limite breakfast time. The hotel is dark and old. It needs to be update. The internet is a joke

Very comfortable hotel with friendly people are the front desk. Clean rooms, nice beds. My only comment would be on the restaurant which could be cleaner, specially the chairs. Food is good.

Bleak. Overpriced and dated
Very bleak. Hotel felt like it was stuck in 1985. We had deliberately paid more for a Queen bed versus two twins but when we arrived were told the hotel was overbooked so it was impossible. Concierge was quite rude. Overall, just very overpriced for what we received. Far from the middle of town too.

Nice hotel 15 minutes walk from cathedral.
Nice hotel about 10 or 15 minutes walk from old town centre. Only problem was stopping the car. The turning to the underground parking is just before the hotel entrance but there is a bus lane till a few metres before that. We went past it twice and had to ask in the hotel where it was.

Nice place but broken air conditioning system. It worked on and off throughout our stay. I was surprised that a four star hotel of such magnitude would not be better equipped to deal with providing its guests cool, comfortable accommodations.

Convinenet location and spacious room
Staff at the reception were friendly and it is very close to the station. The room temperature set by the hotel was a bit low for us and we felt a bit cold. The room was spacious, the queen bed was exceptionally comfortable and the wifi was strong. However, a little attention to the breakfast would help. We had breakfast twice and both occasions, melon was slightly off. We also noticed another guest complaining about ham and the tray was replaced. Perhaps melon in Spain even in winter time goes off easily? I really don't know as this is the third hotel that we found off melon displayed at the breakfast buffet.

Convient location easy to commute by bus
Bathroom lots of water on the floor after a shower and the door had a drop so it did not close properly a bit of upgrading and updating is needed but the staff was very helpful and sent a member of staff the next day to rectify the problem.

This hotel needs an update and to have new carpet at a minimum. My family booked two rooms. The room on the 6th floor which I was booked into smelled so strongly of cleaner and chemicals, likely to mask mildew or something else, that I could not sleep in it and chose instead a smoking room on the 2nd floor, which despite smelling like stale cigarettes actually was preferable. The carpet off of the elevator on the 6th floor was absolutely filthy. The one positive thing I can say for this hotel was it is right next to the bus station so if you are bussing to / from the airport it is convenient.

Located one minute away from Oviedo bus station. Convenient Alimerka supermarket across the road from hotel. Approx. 15 minute walk to famous Gascona district and old town. Must try Sideria Tierra Astur Parilla restaurant - huge portions, great value, amazing atmosphere and the waiters have a very distinct way of pouring your cider!!! Tip: arrive early for a table to avoid the long queue!

Interesting city, historical with good shopping. Hotel well appointed with attentive staff. Room huge and bed very comfortable. Breakfast enticing selection. Room too warm for me in spite of turning air conditioning temperature down.

Very nice hotel in central location
I had a very nice stay at this hotel. The room was spacious with modern decor and nice bathroom. It was quiet so I had a restful sleep. The hotel staff was helpful and polite.

Great value. Kinda far from the beach or Gijon, you'll need a car to get places, or take the City bus which is right next door. Right in front of the hotel is the shopping/food district...really nice to walk. Don't go to area behind hotel, as that's a different story. Good breakfast buffet for 10€! Really big room, especially for a European hotel, everything very new and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly!

EXE Oviedo
I used to go to the TRYP Oviedo that has become now the EXE Oviedo. The room I got this time was like a suite. The service was extremely friendly and cordial. The location, one block from the bus station, two blocks from the train station and within walking distance of the center of town is excellent.

The hotel was very adequate for staying in Oviedo a few days. If the price is right, you are close enough to walk to the Cathedral and calle de sidra. I will say, though, that the clerk at the front desk was very sarcastic and was prone to giving false information about busses, where things were, etc.

Great location, but no tea making facility in room
The hotel's location was excellent as we were traveling by bus and the bus station is right next door. Tryp is also within walking distance of all the shopping, restaurants and old town. We did miss having tea/coffee making facility in the room though. We stayed four nights but couldn't even get a cuppa in the café down stairs in the mornings! They were only serving breakfasts (which we didn't want) and couldn't accommodate a coffee on its own- so disappointing.
