"The public rooms of the hotel are lovely and spacious. The grounds are beautiful. The bedroom was clean and a good size (if a little dated). In the bathroom, a good supply of hot water and shower water pressure good. The spa was at best average and if that had been the main reason for our visit, we would have been disappointed. The gym is well equipped for a hotel gym. Great golf course. Lunch in the bar and dinner in the grill were both lovely. Varied menu and good value for money. The drinks menu was good, although a few more cocktails on the menu would be better (and more than one non-alcoholic option would have been preferred) The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Special mention to Georgia in the bar who was very attentive and customer focussed. All in all a very pleasant stay."

"The hotel exceed my expectation after read reviews on how dated the rooms have been for the other travellers. There was a wedding in the Easter weekend and the hotel had kindly arranged a room at the top floor, away from the party and the noise. The boys enjoyed the swimming pool very much. Reataurant staffs were great and food was excellent. I feel that the room has been refurbed, the carpet and decorations look fairly new. I wouldn't say it's modern like some new hotels but certainly clean and comfotable and the setting is grand and old style luxury. "
