“Great Hotel!”
The suites were very spacious, and the location was right downtown. Service was excellent too. Would definitely stay again!
“Best choice for family”
We have been twice to Ottawa and both times we stayed at the Minto. We are a family of 5 and there is no other hotel in Ottawa we would choose. We had a suite with 2 bedrooms - it was huge! Very very clean, perfectly decorated. You can eat in your room as there is a full kitchen or eat in any of the many restaurants nearby. There is also a connecting small mall that has a little grocery store and some fast food options - great for the morning! The pool was undergoing renovations during our stay so we had access to another pool at the Sheraton 2 blocks away. And even with this small inconvenience we still give this hotel a 5/5. We will go back for sure.
“Disappointed”
Our room and hallway smelled of smoke, even though it was a non smoking room. Our room was not cleaned until after we called at 3:30 PM. Our TV channels were mostly not working - cable signal issues. The beds were hard and the pillows also. We ordered a bottle of wine for room service and it took 45 mins, and only arrived because we had called again.
“LOVE this hotel!”
This is my second stay at the Minto, and I have nothing bad to say about the hotel itself. The staff is very friendly and willing to help you with whatever you need. The front desk staff actually walked me to the nearest convenience store when I inquired. The rooms are very spacious and incredible. They are modern and comfortable. Overall, I love this hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable stay!
“Will go back again”
Great hotel - the efficiency kitchen comes in handy, beds are comfy, staff is very helpful, parking is reasonably priced. A new concourse is opening between the hotel and the commercial buildings in the group that has many quick options for food. 15 minute walk to the Byward Market. Nicely renovated pool area. The only thing I was dissatisfied with was how hard the couch was - like sitting on a block of cement. Will happily go back for business or pleasure.
“Great deal at low rate”
The Minto Suites are comfortable, overall we were very pleased with the comfort of the room and living room. Kitchen was functional, but quite basic equipment (basic dishes, cutlery, pots and pans) good enough to heat up food and make toast, coffee and tea, but wouldn't try to cook a meal here. If you get a good low season deal, as we did, this is a great deal. I may have been more critical though, had we paid the full price (and I know that this hotel goes for signficantly higher at different times of the year.) But low season, luxury for a low price.
“Overall Very good!”
Very convenient location, rooms could probably use an update as the last time I stayed here was about 8 years ago and nothing seems to have changed. But overall very good.
“Minto Ottawa”
Expensive parking is my only complaint.
“Definitely worth the price”
This hotel is beautifully decorated in a very modern style. The staff was kind and professional. The suites were beautiful and large with comfortable furniture. It was great to have access to the microwave, full coffee maker etc. and to be able to literally close the door on the kitchen when I was done with it. The bed was very comfy and the linens were nice. The bathroom was also in a good location separated a bit from the rest of the suite. I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.
“Ottawa's Trip”
Excellent choice! Felt just like home.
