“I will stay there whenever i go to ottawa”

Very nice hotel , and very good service too the elvator of the hotel looks old and so the walls of the corridor between rooms , but otherwise everything is great and the room is very comfortable too

“Great Value...”

I was in Ottawa for 2 nights to attend an open house at the University. This hotel was the cheapest I could find, and I was impressed with the service and quality for how much I paid. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody who doesn't mind getting value for your hard-earned cash. If you do stay, please write a review so other people could benefit from your experience.

“We will return”

This hotel was very easy to locate, close to main highway coming in to Ottawa. Beds were great for getting a good night's rest, comfortable chairs & table for our bring-along breakfasts.

“Staff are really friendly, especially the bar staff, nice hotel but needs a little updating”

Nice enough hotel, pictures aren't quite correct, needs a little updating. However, staff are great, especially bar staff very friendly and helpful. Do need a car if you want to see anything, there are buses into Ottawa though nearly straight outside. We stayed for 2 weeks and were quite happy - restaurant was OK, pasta was nice!! Had a good two weeks.

“If we go back to Ottawa will quite likely use this hotel again”

The hotel was well maintained and the room was quite comfortable. There was a nice outdoor pool which we didn't have time to try. The onsite restaurant looked very nice although we did not eat there. It is close to the main highway through the city so it is easy to get to any part of Ottawa in a short time.

They allowed us to get in early to freshen up and we found the room to just fine for our needs. It was easy to get in and easy to get out. Very efficient and helpful.

Nothing super to mention, but did the trick in a pinch. 1 good thing, the bartender was very helpful.

“Great for the Price”

Through expedia, the Embassy West cost $15 less than even the hotel could offer per night. It is about 5 to 10 minutes away from downtown, but access to the highway is direct outside the hotel. Although the chairs in the rooms had a couple of small rips, and the bathroom had no fan, at the lowest price in Ottawa, the room included coffee and coffee maker, tea, hair blower and free wireless internet access. The beds were relatively comfortable and the room was clean. So, for the price, the hotel was great.

“Clean comfortable hotel”

Room was clean, spacious & comfortable. Staff was very polite. BUT serious issue with maintenence. Bedside lights stopped operating due to loose wall recepticle (very dangerous). Called front desk who stated maintenance would be right up - but never showed!
