“I'd be still there on vacation if I didn't have to work but i"ll go back here again for sure”
Whats not to like about this hotel awesome location, friendly staff, clean a little older hotel but clean, second time in the last year at this hotel and I"ll be back in a heartbeat. The only problem I had with my stay was the Sens lost there game :), but I had a comfortable bed to back to so I was able to sleep well under those circumstances. :)

“Nothing exceptional”
Great location, but construction next door is an irritant. Could use new carpets and more lighting in halls.
“No parking lot attached to the hotel, I parked my car nearby outdoor parking lot”
Old hotel with old furnitures, I think better to demolish this hotel and build new one..
“Practical and Economical”
This hotel served my purposes on a practical sense. The beds were hard and the decor was in need of upgrade but the room was clean and had a pleasant seating area. The staff were friendly and helpful. Most of all the location was perfect for such a reasonable price; within walking distance of restaurants, the meetings I was attending and of course to do some shopping in my downtime. Nothing fancy but met my needs for a 2 day stay.
“Terrific Value”
For the best balance of economy to value, this hotel cannot be beat. My room was spacious and clean, housekeeping was excellent, the location was ideal--easy walking distance to Parliament Hill, the Market district and other landmarks, The city bus from the airport stops in front of the hotel. The room price also included wi-fi. Highly recommended for business or leisure travel.
“We picked the hotel for we could bring our black lab. will be back.”
We picked the hotel for being dog freindly. Front desk was friendly and maid service. Room clean. We will use this hotel again, with ,or without Bayou. Rates are very reasonable. The extra cots for a dog, seems alittle bit steep, only if you have a good dog that sleeps on this bed, not the furniture, but I do realize that there are bad dogs out there.
“Convenient for sightseeing”
The room was fine -- clean and functional. Even had a balcony, which is a bit scary on the 12th floor! Staff was very nice and helpful.. . .they knew about parking options. No restaurant in the hotel, but there are lots of places to eat nearby (like Byward Market), although the hotel is located in the business district so there's not as much activity on the weekends. Very convenient to walk to Parliament and other national buildings, as well as the Civilization and War museums, which are a long walk but very nice. Byward Market is close enough to walk to too. The Arts Center is 2 blocks away. The toilet needed a new flapper, so it ran every once in a while for a few seconds. They said they would fix it. Good downtown hotel at a quite reasonable price through Expedia.
“Spend $500 on the elevators to start and then gut and renovate the entire building”
Wow - talk about a wartron hotel!!!
“good value, but that is not a 'fitness centre'”
The room, cleanliness, staff, etc. were all great. The couple pieces of fitness equipment are in extreme need of some maintenance or replacement. Definitely does not qualify as any sort of fitness centre.
