“Solid Experience with Great Value”
We found the hotel staff to be friendly and willing to go the extra mile to provide us with specific tourist information. The included breakfast was a great value, although you'll find the fare to be typically Scandinavian--heavy on the cereals, yogurts, breads, and cold cuts. While the building is aging and the rooms can't be considered spacious, the comfortable and well-appointed interiors went a long way to make up for it. The location is about 50m from a tram stop and 3 blocks from more robust public transport. I would recommend getting a day pass for public transport. It makes fiscal sense if you plan on making more than 2 trips within 24 hours. Passes are available at the 7-11 across the street from the hotel. Use the train to and from the airport. The cost of a taxi was more than the cost of a single night at the hotel.
“Fantastic hotel”
My wife and I loved this hotel. Terrific location -- close to Karl Johans Gate but just far enough away to give it some separation. Amazing breakfast! And a wonderfully friendly staff. We were there a full week and found it perfect. Trams do run on the street below, but we came to love the sound ... and missed it when we left.
“What a hotel should be”
After staying at other chains in Oslo, this hotel was refreshing in its value for money, quality of the newly refurbished room, warm welcome and fantastic breakfasts. It's now my regular place for Oslo.
“Very good hotel”
Hotel is right at the end of the SAS Airport Bus route which is great. Good location and easy to walk to main shopping and harbour area. Trams go from right outside the door. The rooms are good and have modern furniture and fittings. One thing I was not warned about though is that the room numbers are on the floor not on the door. Hotel is excellent.
“Highly recommend”
The Rica Holberg was an excellent choice in hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, great decor, comfortable rooms, central location and fantastic breakfast all for a very reasonable (for Oslo) price. Only negative comment is they could of done with providing comp tea and coffee in the rooms. Would highly recommend a stay!
“Good comfy hotel, good location”
Glad we booked a Superior Room. Needed the space and it was great. Breakfast buffet was good. Hotel is 55 min bus ride from airport; drop off less than 1 block from hotel. Take big white SAS Flybussen; buy ticket from driver. About 88US roundtrip, less than 230US taxi cost. One negative: AC is controlled by hotel so you cannot set your own temp. Heated tile floor in bath was nice. Staff was very kind & helpful.

Nice hotel for the price. Great location. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel allowed you to pack a lunch for a few bucks more.

Closish to the trainstation (1km walk or tram), nice area, good food around (try lorry), incredible breakfast buffet, yum
“Good location, quaint”
Received an excellent discount for three nights from Expedia. Located within walking distance of the city centre, royal palace and major parks. Great breakfast buffet included.
