Good family stay

Posted 28-Aug-2013
Cons: customer service could be improved. I had to ask about the continental breakfast and the parking. That information should be automated information
When traveling with kid's and looking savings thus place is perfect. It was like being in a small 2 bedroom apartment. Having a room separate from the kids was a bonus The continental breakfast was okay, nothing great but saved us from purchasing breakfast. Having a kitchenette allowed us to keep snacks and cold drinks on hand. The cost was very reasonable. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cosy, cost saving place. Just don't expect first class service from the staff.

Comfortable get away

Pros: 2 bedroom great Excellent value Breakfast
Cons: Signage to find check-in
Location: Quiet section just off Taunton Rd lots of shopping minutes away.
Would stay again. 2 Bedroom is great. ONLY PROBLEM is that it is confusing to find the check-in office. Need signage. Fridge and microwave was good and wired internet or wireless in the lobby. Great breakfast.

Not exactly the usual motel/hotel experience

Posted 21-Aug-2013
Pros: Room was very quiet, spacious and comfortable.
Cons: Cleanliness was a bit lacking. For example, hairs on the pillows, making us wonder if the pillowcases had been changed since the last guest.
Location: We were only passing thru, so do not know about things to do nearby.
Arrived very late in day and had no problems getting checked in. This is apparently a college dormitory, so when we first pulled up we were a bit confused as to whether we were at our "motel" and where we were supposed to park. The place was teeming with mostly young college-age people, who were making so much noise that the gentleman at the front desk and I could barely talk loud enough to hear each other. We were assigned a room on the 5th floor, which was by contrast very quiet. The room was also very comfortable and uncommonly spacious, with two separate bedrooms.

great for the price.

Pros: Helpful and friendly staff
Cons: The shower takes a while to warm up and the towels were quite thin.
Location: located right on campus, fairly close to convenient stores and grocery stores...quite north in the city away from main attractions.
The room was great for the price. It worked well for my 2 children and I. There is a small kitchenette with a fridge in the room. There is internet in the room but not Wi-Fi. If you want to use the internet in the room, you need to bring your own Ethernet cable or purchase one from the front desk. Wifi is available in the front lobby. The breakfast was convenient for the morning and satisfied my children. Would have loved yogurt or some other gluten free options as it was mainly cereal, muffins and toast. Otherwise a nice stay overall.

Very disappointing for the price. My 8 year old said " what kind of crap room is this" That should tell you something about the rooms!

Stetching your dollar

Pros: price
Cons: cleanliness
Location: location is fine
disappointing but you get what you pay for. We rented a two bedroom suite and it was under $100. The room was not spotless as I would expect from a Hilton, but you sure get your bang for your buck here

Nice place to stay for a reasonable price

Pros: Cleanliness of the room, the staff, decent breakfast.
Cons: Signage and better wi-fi connectivity.
Location: Shopping and restaurants are located nearby. Make sure you use a GPS to be able to locate the school where the hotel/dorm is located.
The rooms were dorm room but we were aware of that before we took the room. The front desk staff was very accommodating when we complained that the room we were assigned smelled of smoke. Since smoking was not allowed on the premises and were told there would be a $50 fine, we were given a different room. The breakfast was enough and for the price, we didn't feel cheated. There were bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, plenty of hot coffee, etc. There were two things that could be approved upon but would not hinder me from coming back. 1) After a long day of travel, I was not in the mood to have to hunt for the dorm that was being used as a hotel for travelers. A sign out front would have been appreciated. 2) There was wi-fi but was located in the lobby and not in the room. I did try to connect in the lobby but was unsuccessful. I'm not sure what the problem was.

You don't get what you pay for!

Pros: none
Cons: read the review
Location: In the middle of a college campus.
Very basic. Towels were thin, small and well worn. No hair dryer. No coffee maker. Beds were small doubles. Hard to imagine larger people than us being able to sleep in them. Hotel was very busy, we seemed to have landed in a national lacrosse tournament! It should be explained in the website that this is more of a student residence than a hotel. It was a last minute booking for us but for future we would look further afield. Not worth $100 per night.

Like back in my university days

Posted 11-Aug-2013
Pros: The price
Cons: Finding it
This was fantastic value for the money. Breakfast was even included. It was Plain Jane, so it you want pictures on the walls, and the latest decor, this is not for you, but the rooms were very clean and in perfect condition. It was a suite so quite roomy. It is hard to find though. My GPS got me to the college, but where on campus is the check-in? It is not well signed. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
