"Luxurious."
Myself and my partner stayed for 3 nights. It was absolutely breath taking, could not recommend enough. We didn't use the bar facilities nor the breakfast as it was far too pricey. $11(AUD) for a can of coke!!! There is a family mart and Starbucks across the road so you're sorted in that aspect!! Would recommend and stay again!!!

"Basic, large hotel in great location for subway."
The APA hotel was overall a good experience. On arrival the staff weren't as friendly as the other places we have been but I wouldn't consider that a huge issue really. The room was small as per in Japan but the bed/pillow combo was not ideal! Hard and uncomfortable and the pillows were partially beans/stuffing? I guess if you are used to that it would be okay. I didn't use the spa facilities but they seemed popular so I assune they were good!. We had a good view of the city as well which was cool and the bath was deep and bathroom was well layed out. The best thing was that when you walk out the door you basically walk into the enterance for the higobashi subway station- 3 stops (180yen) away from Namba (dotonbori/running man/shopping/nightlife etc) so that was awesome. If you are looking for luxury I would reccomend one of the more expensive rooms or a hotel more directed at guest experiences etc. This one has a bit of a business feel to it! Good hotel if you are looking for a good location and reasonable price but aren't overly concerned about confort and service!

"Small rooms but much more!"
Ok, first statement is that if you can't handle being in a small room, then there's no point looking at this hotel Move on. If you're like me and don't mind having a small room, either because you're harldy in it (spend more time exploring) or you like small spaces, then this hotel is great. The room was clean, well-equipped and comfortable. No English channels on TV, but I'm in Japan, so who cares. The shower is warm (as is the toilet seat) and the bed is comfortable. We found that the lifts were fast and efficient, and the reception staff were helpful (one woman had great English, one man, not so good). The onsen on B1 level is a real bonus. Each night we used the onsen after tiring days exploring and travelling. The pools are big and warm and the sauna is hot. Take the towels from your room, but shampoo/body wash etc is provided. After the baths, we both slept like babies. This hotel is in a great location on Yodoyabashi. Go out of Exit 11, turn left at the top of the steps and walk about 2 minutes. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and places of interest around. In summary: If you don't mind small rooms (you are in Japan remember), then this hotel is great.

"Close to subway and train station"
The hotel is very near to the Tenmabashi subway station and the Keihan Railway station making very convenient to travel around Osaka and Kyoto. However the Keihan Rail does not go to JR Kyoto station but stop at Gion station. The hotel has all the facilities available even the torch light in the even of a breakdown. It was an enjoyable stay and I had a hard time to finding a hotel as it was a holiday season and I had extended my stay in Osaka..I would definitely recommend my friend to stay at this hotel.
