This Lake Buena Vista resort features 759 guestrooms in a 12-story building. All include the signature Westin Heavenly Bed. The Heavenly Bed consists of a custom-designed, foot-thick pillowtop mattress with all-white bedding; triple sheeting; down blanket, comforter and duvet; and five pillows (two goose down/feather, two hypo-allergenic, and a decorative "boudoir" neck roll pillow).

Il Mulino New York Trattoria - Serving traditional cuisine from Italy's Abruzzi region served in a rustic atmosphere. Serving dinner each day.

Garden Grove - Designed using a Central Park theme and visited by Disney Characters evenings and at breakfast Saturdays and Sundays. Open for buffet breakfast and dinner and à la carte lunch.

Kimonos - Sushi and sake are served in this beautiful little restaurant. Cooked entrées, including yakitori and fresh fish, are also offered. Karaoke machine cranks up after dark.

Splash Grill - This poolside cafe serves lunch and snacks, including pizza and burgers.

Lobby Court - This quiet spot just off the lobby serves pastries and coffee in the morning, and wine and specialty drinks in the afternoon and evening. A pianist often entertains after dark.

“Walt Disney World Resort – NOT! Don’t let the name fool you”

The Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin are not owned by Disney – as the name would imply! There is a daily Resort fee – charged to ALL customers at check out? Not added to nightly room rate – WHY? Promo - dinning credit for 6 nights plus stay, WHY did I have to ask twice for it and after the second time TOLD it would be credited to me at Check out, when it was not. So again I had to ask for the credit a third time – before I finally got it. House Keeping Service – hit and miss - daily credit for declining service, had to go to desk three times to raise concerns. Disney Magical Transportation to and from the Airport are not offered for these Resorts – another cost for the customer. My final my bill had a restaurant charge on it that was not mine – this I had to have reversed. The Swan will nickel & Dime you as much as they can – watch them – your holiday will not be care free as a DISNEY Resort.

“A great place to stay”

The Swan is in a great location. Accessible to Epcot and MGM by boat. The kids loved taking the ferry. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. We wished that the Swan had more 'quick dining' options available. In the evenings, we had to walk over to the Dolphin to grab ice cream or a quick snack. Overall, a great experience. We would stay there again.

“Good location and nice staff”

Very nice location to access to any Disney Parks. Hotel staff are very friendly and kind. But there are not many choice for resturants. Overall I recommend this hotel.

“Great Place”

The water taxi was a bonus at the hotel. It was a very quick ride to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. The bus ride to Downtown Disney was long from the Swan. I would recommend boarding the shuttle at the Boardwalk. Much shorter ride from there. Concierge desk was the best! Fantastic lady there helped a lot with boarding passes that would not print on the provided computer. Very helpful staff overall. Can purchase tickets for Disney parks at the hotel. That was a great time saver as well.

Area recommendations

This hotel was located in Disney resort property so it was very quiet but you were a way from grocery stores, malls, and the like but it was a very nice place to stay.

“Great location but housekeeping could be better.”

Booking through Expedia we got a great rate, free 6th night and $100 food/ beverage credit. If it weren't for the perks I might be more upset with the housekeeping which was less than stellar in the bathroom. No microwave for customer use anywhere. And the hotel has disallowed local grocery services which greatly impacted my vacation plans. Also, I definitely had sticker shock when I called room service just to get some silverware so I could eat some leftovers and I was charged nearly $4. Thankfully transportation to theme parks was great and the pools were fun for my boys, although those were not exceptionally clean either. I would stay here again out of convenience alone but not without incentives.

Getting around

Boat transportation not Epcot and Hollywood studios was frequent and quick! A 5 minute walk to the boardwalk for entertainment and dining was great in the evenings!

“Walt Disney Swan”

The Swan continues to be a very nice hotel, location is fantastic and within walking distance of both Epcot and Disney's hollywood Studios.

“Really enjoyed the hotel. Great location.”

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Swan. The location was extremely convenient to Disney world. The restaurants were plentiful & very nice. Service at the hotel restaurants was sporadic. Probably the only real complaint I have is that we had 3 adults in our room, paid extra for the 3rd person but could only get 2 bottles of water per room per day. Ridiculous. We would go back but take a case of water w us.
