A decent stayPosted 31-Oct-2013
Pros: decent room, free breakfast, free parking
Cons: communication between staff, room cleanliness (maybe some air freshener)
Location: universal studios is a 5 minute drive from here!
The room was small, but comfortable. There was a weird smell in the room when we first came in, but then we got used to it. I loved the free breakfast and free parking. They need to establish a check out time though. We asked one of the employees and they said check out was at 12 pm, but then another employee told us it was at 11 am. Thankfully, we were allowed to check out at 12 pm.

The hotel staff was very polite and professional. The room was recently renovated, the wood floors at the entry door were very nice. Most important for me, the hotel was very quiet; I was able to get work done in the afternoon and evening after I had dropped off a child at Universal. It is very conveniently located near Universal and healthy fast food choices.

Very friendly staff and clean roomsPosted 15-Oct-2013
Cons: HOT TUB! More shuttles to and from Universal Studios.
Went down for the Haunted Halloween at Universal Studios. Enjoyed the stay at the motel. within walking distance to Universal. Wish they would have more shuttles going to and from the park.

Cheap but would not stay here againPosted 1-Sep-2013
Pros: Price, location to parks/international drive
Cons: Upkeep of the rooms, better selections at breakfast
Location: Universal, seaworld, international drive
The hotel staff was very nice however the accomodations were subpar. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. Our room smelled like smoke, the bathroom had a strong smell similar to a dirty cat litter box, and the pillows were not pillows but very tiny, mushy bags. When my husband asked the front desk if they had a firm pillow he was given a pillow without a pillowcase. Our TV had no reception from the cable and the front desk simply gave us another cable chord to reinstall ourselves(which also did not work) The continental breakfast was nothing more than cereal, assorted baked goods, toast, fruit, and the only hot food was biscuits and gravy, and waffles. We booked our stay here to keep expenses low, but we still ended up going out to breakfast each morning, so it would have been better to spend the extra 20-30$ a night to stay at a Hampton Inn. Final verdict- stay here if you are simply looking for a room to keep your bags with a bed to sleep on, nothing more.

Another great stay!Posted 27-Aug-2013
Pros: Friendly, convenient, clean, decent breakfast
Cons: More return shuttle times during the week.
Location: Great location, quiet area, close to parks
We stayed here last year for our trip to universal and we had a great experience. We of course chose to stay again and service was again great! The hotel is very clean, friendly, and helpful towards out if towners. The location is convenient and although there was only one return shuttle from the parks at 730, a cab ride was only $6. We will definitely continue to stay here in the future!

Handicap-accessible room needs work.Posted 25-Aug-2013
Pros: Nice breakfast buffet with reasonable choices. Non-smoking hotel. Pleasant staff. Free daily newspaper.
Cons: Shower device and shower curtain in room 113. Replacement iron.
Non-smoking hotel. Room smelled quite medicinal upon entering, but my nose became accustomed to it quite quickly. Was in room 113 (handicap-accessible, not necessary for me, but that's where they put me). Weird shower curtain hangs over the edge of the shower pan so that water hitting it goes partly in the pan and the other part dripping on the floor.Should be moved inward. Additionally, the shower head is on a hose that attaches to a "pin" on a vertical rod. The "pin" slid down at will (wouldn't lock into place) and the shower head moved back and forth at will regardless of where you wished it to stay. Needs some work. No soap dish in the shower stall. Steam iron didn't heat up very hot and dripped. I got my shirt ironed well enough, but room 113 needs a replacement.
