Good location, but hotel disappointing.Posted 5-Mar-2014
Pros: It's location; proximity to shops, games and restaurants. It has a nice swimming pool, but that didn't make a difference to me because I don't swim.
Cons: The hotel management should consider thorough renovation and upgrading of the rooms. Rugs, bedsheets and mattresses should be changed completely!
Location: The location is lined with shops and good restaurants. There are also a number of game and ride places to visit. Excellent location for tourists!
Carpets dirty and smelly. Non-smoking room had a smoking smell. Hallway and lifts dirty. Mattresses old and sinking; my back still aches after 2 days of checking out. I changed rooms 3 times. Once because the carpet was dirty and had not been vacuumed; second because there was cigarette smoke in a room that was labeled non-smoking, and the the third room I had to settle for because I was tired of moving. This room had a carpet stench by the toilet area. The Hotel staff were curt and not necessarily helpful. The bedsheets looked clean, but had a smell to them. I paid an extra $13 a night for a bigger room but found out the rooms were all the same price. The front desk refused to refund my money. The only good thing this hotel has going for it, is it's location; its proximity to shops, games and restaurants. However, there are many other hotels located in the same area. I regretted staying at this hotel. I could NEVER stay in this hotel again or recommend it to anyone.

Very DatedPosted 5-Mar-2014
This was probably a nice hotel in the early 80's. The front desk staff were friendly, however the concierge was clearly irritated that he had to set his I phone down to answer a few questions. The room was clean but everything in it is very old. Only the hot water tap worked in the shower. Was a 10$ cab ride to Universal but they do offer free shuttles.

International PalmsPosted 5-Mar-2014
Pros: The pool and deck area were fabulous. The area leading into the atrium building was a neat spot for pictures.
Cons: Rooms in the atrium are a little dated.
Location: A great location. Universal studios , Sea World, Aquatica are nearby. There are lots of places within walking distance to enjoy.
Check in was so easy and quick. All the staff were very friendly. The pool area was very nice and the alligator alley was so much fun to see. The room it self was somewhat dated and a little musty.

Decent place to stay.Posted 4-Mar-2014
We have stayed at this hotel several times. My recommendation would be to stay in the tower though because the other rooms are quite a bit older. The tower rooms are not new but are much bigger and seem to be more up to date. They have an awesome pool area with a hot tub. They also have a gator viewing area. It may not be the nicest place in the area but it is a decent place and for the price we will continue to stay here.

Great potential under bad administrationPosted 3-Mar-2014
This hotel has great potential in terms of facilities and location, but it appears for the way it operates and the maintenance that the management is not doing a great job. The first night I had to ask for a new room since the one they assigned me was in bad shape for the money I paid.

Convenient hotel with easy access to the mani parks. Staff helpful. Room rather jaded, but clean and comfortable.

Room ConditionPosted 2-Mar-2014
Pros: The interior corridors were very nice & well maintained.
Cons: For the price paid the hotel was very nice.
Location: There were plenty of restaurants & shops as well as midway rides within walking distance.
We were initially put in a room that was dark & dreary & not the cleanest. After a trip to the front desk to request a change the staff were more than accommodating & gave us a lovely room in the tower.

Long check in timePosted 2-Mar-2014
Pros: Nice view. Near by attractions. Cheap...
Cons: New bathrooms.
Location: All attractions near by.
The price was rite and close to attractions but you get what you pay for. Arrived about 11:00 pm and it took a half hour to get checked in with only two people in front of me. Key for room quit working and when we wanted to get back in our room they were drilling out door knob. Aged rooms and kind of yucky bath tub. you stay in different building from which you check in.
