The Hyatt Place Orlando/Universal has dropped the traditional lobby and front desk in favor of a contemporary open area called the Gallery, with a check-in kiosk and the expertise of a host, who is available to help with check-in, guest tours, and even food preparation, 24 hours a day.
The Gallery area houses the Bakery Café, which includes a coffee and wine bar. A help-yourself case of baked goods, salads, sandwiches, and drinks is also available 24 hours.
Among complimentary amenities are use of the TV room with its 27-inch flat-panel screen and seating for four, use of a computer with high-speed Internet access and a printer, all in the Gallery area; and hotel-wide wireless Internet access.

All guestrooms feature Hyatt's signature Grand Bed: Sealy Posturepedic mattress; 250-thread-count triple sheeting; down blankets; double down-surround pillows. Separated from the bed by a partial wall, the sitting area provides a sofabed and desk.
42-inch, flat-panel, high-definition TVs allow guests to plug in laptops, MP3 players, and DVD players. Satellite channels include 11 channels of high-definition programming and SportsNet. Both wireless and wired high-speed Internet access are complimentary; one of the two telephones is cordless.
Refrigerators, coffeemakers, and wet bars are included. Bathrooms provide granite countertops and Portico white-ginger scented bath amenities.

Dining
Bakery Café - Premium espresso drinks, beer, and wine; freshly prepared hot and cold items can be ordered using a touch-screen kiosk; baked goods, salads, sandwiches, and drinks can also be selected from a cold case. Open 24 hours daily.
Recreation
Cardio equipment in the fitness center features built-in TV screens, and includes two treadmills, an exercise bike, and an elliptical cross-trainer.

“best option if you want to stay near Universal”
It was a satisfying experience here at Hyatt place. I liked the room and the surroundings. You can find everything within 1-2 miles, lots of restauratnts, shops, stores etc. Universal is just a mile away from this hotel. Overall, it was an excellent experience.
“Great Price for a Great Hotel”
The hotel was within walking distance to Universal Studios. They had a great hot brkfst. Very crowded so get there early. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

I travel all the time on business, and I wouldn't reocomend it for that. If you are on vacation, with your family, it is a great place. The staff is super friendly, and it is so close to Universal you can see the rides from the top floors. "I'll be back Amerisuites"
“Very Impressed!”
Great Hotel! Stayed there with a buddy when staying in Orlando for the night. The workers at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly and the room was amazing. Nice beds, great tv! and at a good price too!
“CLEAN and NEAR universal”
the hotel was very clean, as soon as you enter the hotel you will smell their nice white ginger. breakfast was good but you have to pay for eggs. FREE wifi, shuttle service to universal are at 8:35am - 10:35am and 11 or 12 (can't remember). time may not be accurate but they only go 3 times a day and come back at 4 or 7 pm. it will cost you to Disney $30 - $35 using a cab. if you are going to Disney always go to downtown Disney or any Disney hotel and use their FREE transportation to go to Disney parks believe me it is MUCH cheaper.
“I would stay here again and look for one in other cities”
I loved this hotel. The hotel was beautiful, the employees were very friendly. It smelled wonderful when we walked into the lobby everyday. Our room was comfortable and clean. Big king size bed, flat screen tv. We definitely would stay again and will look for this hotel in other cities when we travel. It is right across from universal studios/island of adventure.

“GREAT location, GREAT hotel”
FREE Continental breakfast is wonderful, not just fruit and bagels but hot food as well, i.e. eggs, sausage. Room was roomy and clean. Staff was very friendly. Walking distance to Universal Studios and restaruants.
“Great place to stay!!!”
I picked this hotel after I read all the reviews and I was sooo pleased with it!!! Nice and clean, the room was big and confy. There was a weird smell in the elevator though and it looks like everybody noticed hehehe, but definitely not a big deal! The free breakfast in the morning was great!!! Very fresh, nice products, good selection, Starbucks coffees and teas... The staff was very nice and helpful. It's very close to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. They have a free shuttle and it's great, I wouldn't walk it to the parks, not worth it...use the free shuttle and if you come back on your own the cab ride back to the hotel is $5 :) I never went to the parks at this time of year and I'll always go in the fall from now on if I can...the parks were empty!!! No lines...NONE!!! it was amazing:) I would definitely consider this hotel again...we loved it :) great deal!!!
