Cheap and close to Universal Studios but old!

Posted 4-Oct-2014
Dirty carpet, old bathroom and hot room. The A/C box was old and made loud noises if you tried putting it at its coolest. The price we paid for our 3 nights though was cheap so I can't complain too much. I wasn't expecting the best hotel but at least a cool room that looks clean.

Done the job!

Posted 22-Aug-2014
Pros: The staff were friendly, it had a swimming pool for the kids. It was cheap enough and had everything we need for the trip.
Cons: Double glazed units to cut down the noise of people walking passed. Better breakfast.
Location: We were on International Drive, so ideally based for places to go out and eat and plenty of shops and smaller supermarkets and gift shops.
I've put yes to recommending this hotel, but only if you want a cheap hotel for Disney area and it was fine for our requirements of 2 rooms with 1 adult and 1 child in each room, if it was a bigger family or group I would go for a villa with a pool as it's more like home from home and a bit more relaxing and chilled out and you have all the facillities in a villa. It was ok for what we needed, it was clean, the bed was comfy, it had a fridge in the room, but no microwave that it reported to have on the details of the hotel. It had tea/coffee making facilities, with coffee etc supplied. Could have done with double glazed units to cut down on some of the noise from people walking passed. Breakfast was not up to much, I think we went down to breakfast 3 times, we got some supplies from the supermaket instead or there are loads of places close by that you could get a much better breakfast! Staff were friendly and helpful. Would I stay there again, probably not as last time I went we stayed in a villa and it was much more relaxing, although the hotel done the job for what we needed, it was cheap and comfortable enough and we were hardly ever there!

Poor quality but good location

Posted 5-Aug-2014
Very out dated and poor quality rooms. Very noisey as we had room by the pool which was used until very late despite signs saying it closed at 10pm. Air conditioning was very poor. Good location though near wet n wild and universal and I trolley but would think carefully before booking and consider paying a bit more for higher quality even if you are just using it as a base.

Regrets

Posted 29-Jul-2014
Awful, fees never discussed were charged at check-in, almost no water pressure in shower-impossible to wash hair, pool smelled funny, room smelled of mold, towels were stained, shuttle was only once per day and hours after park opening and hours before park closing. AC worked but was loud. Rowdy crowds outside all hours of night listening to music. I could go on and on. Pay the extra $10 per night and stay elsewhere.
