GREAT STAFF BREAKFAST WAS NICE ENJOYED OUR STAY. MAINTENANCE PEOPLE THERE WHEN THER WAS A PROBLEM WHICH WAS MINOR AND WAS LOOKED AFTER IN ABOUT 1/2 HOUR.
“Pleasant Surprise”
After reading reviews of hotels in the same price range in the surrounding area, I was a little wary about staying here for such a cheap rate. We arrived to a very large, very clean room (the bathroom was a little bit dirty but nothing awful). The king bed was comfortable and had lots of pillows. The in-room safe was operational and there was a microwave and bar fridge. The A/C kept the room very cool and the outdoor pool was a nice perk. The front desk clerk the first night told me she liked to keep it open past the posted 10pm closing time for people to use late at night after a long day travelling or in the park.
“Amazing Rate, No Problems”
Was skeptical about this property after reading some reviews, though since the dates on many were quite old decided to go ahead with it (since the rate we got through expedia was so good). I was pleasantly surprised, check-in (at midnight) was simple, the staff was great, the room was really spacious (king-sized bed, pull-out couch, dining table, fridge, microwave, etc), it was clean, the safe was new and large enough for a laptop, and it was extremely quiet. The continental breakfast was just bagels, toast, honey buns, coffee, tea, and juices, but that was fine for us. The shuttle to the Parks picks up quite early, but it's free, and it gets you to the parks before they open which means no lines. If you don't want to catch the shuttle, the 56 LYNX Bus (public transit) goes from the front of the hotel straight to the Magic Kingdom, costs $1.75 per person and is a great bus. It's in walking distance to a Super Target, Wal-Mart Supercenter, shopping mall, and some pretty good restaurants (I recommend Kuboki Japanese.. an extremely cheap Teppenyaki place about 2 miles down the road). If you don't feel like walking, both the 56 and the 55 bus will take you down the 192 to all the restaurants and shopping, they run about every half hour, and a bus schedule is available at the TTC of Disney or on the bus itself, and runs every half hour. I have no complaints, it was clean, well-kept, and great for just spending our evenings in after long days at the park.
“Good place to stay in Kissimmee”
Basic hotel, clean, friendly staff and for $30 a night you can't go wrong
“Not the Greatest!”
The first room had a fridge in the middle of the floor sitting on a towel, the second had some pale, small ant like bugs in the sink, the third was musty smelling, but we settled for that one and bought an air freshener. The desk staff were ok, but a couple were fairly clueless. The room was fairly clean, but new mattresses would be good. There was a phone book propping the bed frame up at one corner.
“Econolodge- less than I expected”
A lot of dust inside the room. It badly needed cleaning. I was looking for cheap and cheerful but a must have is a clean room. My daughter enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. They had a waffle maker and I got to make her waffles every morning. I did not rent a car as they had a shuttle bus but the timing for the disney parks is inconvenient if you are travelling with children. We would not have arrived back at the hotel until after 10pm. I paid for the taxi ride home each evening so if I had stayed in a hotel with convenient shuttle times and paid more for the hotel stay I would have saved money.
“one star is giving it high praise”
it was a basic hotel the only thing that we didnt like was the king size bed it was pushed against the wall so it made it uncomfortable to get in and out.there wasnt an electrical outlet next to the bed . there was an alarm clock but inorder to use it we had to plug it in at the vanity area . though the room wasnt dirty I dont think they vacuum much
“A place to lay your head is all”
Don't expect much for breakfast in the morning, bare minimum! Also at Check in there is a non-negotiable fee of $5.64 for "hotel use" It was good for a safe place to sleep on your trip to Disneyworld.
“blah”
yuck...cops..weird guests..front staff ghetto.. but it was 29 dollars.. so you get what you pay for
