Guests arrive at this French-Quarter inspired resort via a New Orleans-style train station; a two-story lobby with an interior courtyard provides the central check-in area. The grounds are dotted with attractive gardens and lush greenery. By day, guests can hear the sounds of jazz from the player piano. At night, Scat Cat's Club, an on-site jazz club, gets cookin' with the hot sounds of New Orleans.
Outdoor fun at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is focused on Doubloon Lagoon, a water playground with alligator fountains and a huge waterslide in the shape of a dragon, inspired by the famous Mardi Gras celebrations. Young and old guests can also enjoy a children's pool, playground, arcade, and rentals of bicycles and watercraft. Creole delicacies are the featured menu items at Floatworks and Food Factory, which also serves popular American favorites.
Complimentary transportation is provided to all Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, water parks, and the Downtown Disney® area. Complimentary ferry service is provided from the resort to the Downtown Disney® area. Parking is complimentary.
Disney's Magical Express: Guests of this resort are eligible for complimentary Disney's Magical Express service. Motor coaches pick up guests at Orlando International Airport and drop off at Walt Disney World® Resort Hotels. Disney staff members pick up bags and deliver them straight to guestrooms (for arrivals between 5 AM and 10 PM). Guests arriving outside of these hours should pick up their baggage at baggage claim to carry with them on the motor coach.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter offers 1,008 guestrooms in seven low-rise buildings. Buildings are bordered by gardens and cobblestone streets, and some offer views of the resort pool or the Sassagoula River.
Rooms inspired by Mardi Gras celebrations—or Carnivàle, as the holiday is known in other countries—offer rich, blue color schemes, French-inspired paintings, and antique-style furnishings.
All rooms have tables and chairs, in-room safes, and cable TV with Disney channels.
Coffeemakers are provided. Bathrooms with shower/tub combinations provide hair dryers and dual vanity areas.
All guestrooms (including room patios and balconies) are nonsmoking.
Dining
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory - Huge icons reminiscent of Mardi Gras parades—including ice-cream cones, jester masks, and oversize beads—hang high above diners in this casual food court with a warehouse motif. Menu items include a choice of Creole or American dishes, and dining is self-serve in style. Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day.
Sassagoula Pizza Express - Pizza is available for room service during evening hours. Scat Cat's Club - Located off the lobby, this jazz-themed club features cocktails, soft drinks, and specialty drinks.
Mardi Grogs Pool Bar - Specialty drinks, soft drinks, and light snacks are served poolside, weather permitting.
Recreation
At the center of this resort's outdoor fun is Doubloon Lagoon, a water playground with alligator fountains and a huge, colorful, Mardi Gras–inspired slide in the shape of a dragon. The resort also offers a separate children's pool, playground, game arcade, bike rentals, and watercraft rentals. Resort guests also enjoy privileges at a companion property, Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, a Louisiana-style resort inspired by Mark Twain and the days of riverboats. Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside has quiet pools, stocked fishing holes (catch and release), and an old-fashioned swimming hole with water slides and fountains. Complimentary ferryboats up the Sassagoula River transport guests to the Downtown Disney® Area.
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and 36-hole Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course are both within two miles of the resort via complimentary transportation. The resort's guest services can assist with reservations at any one of Disney's five tour-caliber golf courses, all located on Walt Disney World® Resort property. A nine-hole walking course is also available.

Best valu in Disney. Great food court, transportation and pools
“Great stay at the French Quarters”
Excellent location, transportation and service. The room was immaculate and food and the cocktail lounge were located close to our room. The French Quarters is within walking distance of the Riverside resort which has an excellent restaurant and cocktail lounge. You never saw any trash or debis of any kind at the resort.

“I recommend this hotel”
This hotel is very nice. It's obviously not new, but everything was immaculately clean and well maintained. The staff was beyond nice - everyone was friendly, helpful, and made our stay very comfortable. The Disney Magical Express service which transported us to from the airport to the hotel was excellent! On checkout day, we received our boarding passes and airline tags for our bags, delivered right to our room. All we had to do was take the bags to the airline check-in desk in the lobby 3 hours before our flight and catch the bus to the airport. Could not have been easier !!!
“Would stay at the French Quarter again”
My wife and I enjoyed our week at the French Quarter very much. We liked the option of being able to take a boat to get to Downtown Disney instead of the bus all of the time, although the Disney people certainly know how to move people around in a very efficient manner. The landscaping is superb and the buildings are well situated and very accesible. We would return again to the French Quarter as oppossed to the Pop Century where we stayed last year. The staff was very helpful and seemed to enjoy making sure that everyone was happy.

VERY NICE, VERY CLEAN, GREAT STAFF. VERY CALM AS COMPARED TO THE OTHER MODERATE HOTELS, LESS CROWDED AND GREAT FOR YOUNG KIDS, EASY TO KEEP THEM IN SIGHT. GREAT LOCATION FOR BUS SERVICE TO PARKS AND CLOSE TO FOOD COURT, ALSO SO CLOSE TO RIVERSIDE FOR RENTING BOATS OR FISHING, HORSE CARRAIGE RIDES AND MORE POOLS. WE WERE UPGRADED TO RIVERVIEW AND HAD A VERY NICE ROOM IN BUILDING 7 WHICH WE LOVED. WE WATCHED THE BOATS AND THE FISH. THE BOAT TO DOWNTOWN WAS RIGHT THERE ALSO. A GREAT TIME BY ALL 6 OF US, WE WILL BOOK THE FRENCH QUATER AGAIN.

I loved the look of the hotel from the get go. Upon checking in the front desk clerk upgraded us to a room in a better location for our needs! French Quarter has a great atmosphere and offers all the amenities you could ever need! I will definitely be going back and referring this place to others!
“Disney's Port Orlean's French Quarter, Orlando, FL”
Port Orleans French Quarter is manageable for the walking distance for older persons (60 years and older). There is one Disney Bus Drop off point which we liked. The beds are wonderful and the rooms are newly remodeled. Very comfortable and quiet rooms.

We would recommend this hotel to others. Very clean, employees very nice and helpful. Gives you a safe and secure feeling. The food on the Hotel grounds was very good !!!!

As it was our first visit to a Disney resort, we had an awesome experience. I forgot to bring our Disney Diner Reservation times and confirmation numbers, but no problem the concierge service was able to print an itinerary on the spot.The facilites were clean and had almost anything that you may have forgotten at home. Being able to take the ferry boat to Downtown Disney was a fun experience and convenient too.
