Property Amenities
Located within a mile of the Downtown Disney® area and Epcot®, the palm tree–studded resort offers a breezy atmosphere and plenty of recreational fun.
Disney's Old Key West Resort has four pools and a children's pool on site as well as several playgrounds, a video arcade, and a fitness center with services offered by Slappy Joe's Massage Room (surcharge). Guests can rent hydrobikes and pedal-boats at the resort's marina. Conch Flats General Store offers sundries and souvenirs.
Complimentary scheduled transportation via motorcoach is provided to all areas of the Walt Disney World® Resort, and water-launch service is available from the resort to the Downtown Disney® area.
Disney's Magical Express: Guests of this resort are eligible for complimentary Disney's Magical Express service. Motor coaches pick up guests at Orlando International Airport and drop off at Walt Disney World® Resort Hotels. Disney staff members pick up bags and deliver them straight to guestrooms (for arrivals between 5 AM and 10 PM). Guests arriving outside of these hours should pick up their baggage at baggage claim to carry with them on the motor coach.
This hotel is nonsmoking except in designated outdoor areas.

Disney's Old Key West Resort features 761 one-room studios and one- and two-bedroom villas. Accommodations are located in 50 different buildings spread across the resort, all of which have the feel of Old Key West. Studios offer kitchenettes, and villas have fully equipped kitchens as well as washers and dryers. All units have private porches or balconies with views of the woods and gardens or the lakes and waterways found throughout the resort.
All guestrooms (including room patios and balconies) are nonsmoking.
Dining
Olivia's Café - This indoor café offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. American fare and regional specialties top the menu and include hamburgers, pasta, Conch Chowder, fried chicken, and Blue Lump Crab Cakes when in season.
Good's Food to Go - Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks are served on the go at this quick-service outlet. Menu items include hamburgers, hot dogs, cold sandwiches, salads, and frozen yogurt.
Turtle Shack - Seasonal counter service is offered at the Shack, which serves sandwiches, snacks, specialty drinks, and beer. Grills and covered seating are available.
The Gurgling Suitcase - This full-service bar is located near the main pool and offers mixed drinks, cold beverages, and snacks.
Recreation
This Lake Buena Vista resort has four outdoor pools with adjacent playgrounds and spa tubs, and a separate children's pool. Free weights, exercise equipment, stationary bikes, stair-steppers, and treadmills are available in the fitness center, which also offers massage services. Guests can rent canoes, hydrobikes, and pontoon, canopy, and pedal-boats at the on-site marina, and regular bicycles are available for exploring resort grounds. In addition, there are three tennis courts on the premises (racquets can be rented) as well as basketball, volleyball, and shuffleboard courts. Joggers can run on a 1.5-mile path that circles the hotel while guests who prefer indoor recreation visit the arcade or Community Hall for video games, pinball, and board-game fun.
Both Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and the 36-hole Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course are located within two miles of this resort via complimentary transportation. The resort's guest services desk can assist with reservations for any one of Disney's five tour-caliber golf courses, all located on Walt Disney World® Resort property. A nine-hole walking course is also available.

“Great Disney Hotel”
This hotel was very convenient to Disney Downtown and Epcot. It's also the first stop from the airport which made it great for using the free Magical Express service. The room we stayed in was the one-bedroom suite which was like a small apartment. It made our trip very relaxing and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Old Key West - Exceptional in every way”
The rooms are large, well appointed, and beds were VERY comfy - even the pull out sofa was extraordinarily sleepable. concierge was wonderful about helping with tickets and reservations. The number one requirement from Disney's hiring profile must be friendliness - you'd never know these folks might be having an off day.... even when working on Christmas day - they all seemed happy to he there. Transportation from the resort to parks was very timely and convenient. we especially liked having the boat option to get to downtown Disney right from the resort. Gift shop was well stocked - even with food and wine. all in all - a perfect vacation spot.

Everyone at this resort was very nice and helpful. The buses were great to have and very easy to catch and comfortable. We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom. It was wonderful! It was close to the bus stop, pool, and in a very quite area off the golf course. This was the best resort we have ever stay in. Highly recommend it to all seniors and those who like the quite atmosphere, especially after being at the theme parks all day.
“Extremely satisfied”
Old Key West was a pleasant surprise. It is a lovely resort, all the ammenities you could hope for. We were in a one bedroom on the second floor, near the main pool. Maid service was perfect. A late night call to hospitality for another blanket and pillow brought a prompt response. The restaurant, Olivia's, was very good. We used it for dinners and breakfast. The food and service were exceptional. The pool area and the small workout area were very clean. Although I like to stay at a different Disney resort every time I go, I would definately use this resort again.
“Loved the easy access”
We loved just about everything at this "hotel". I quote hotel because it's really like a community. We rented a car (a must) so our favorite thing was being able to drive up basically to our door and park, no elevators, no parking garages, no parking fees. Even if you don't have a car, the "bus" stop is very near and buses constantly ran to/from all the places you'd want to visit in Disney. The only thing I can say semi-negative was our studio room was quite small, although it wouldn't stop me from booking there again.
“Room to roam!”
We really appreciated the space available in the 1 bedroom villa. Ammenities included full size kithchen, fully stocked with dishes and typical things we use at home; washer and dryer and very LARGE bathroom with separate sunken jacuzzi tub plus large shower. Very quiet. We were greeted with welcome home at check in and it really seemed like home from the 1st day. Maid service included cleaning the kitchen!
“Would do it again!”
Was very pleased with the whole Disney experience while staying at the Old Key West Resort! From the moment we checked in, the relaxed atmosphere of the resort, from the rooms to the pool areas, made us feel comfortable. Disney World can be a very "busy" place, having the Old Key West Resort to go back to was very comforting to know!
“Perfect”
My wife & I had a 2 bedroom villa on the golf course in Old Key West.The architecture was beautiful and the suite was immaculate & very comfortable, with everything you could need (even a corkscrew) When we decided a the last minute to stay an extra day, the front desk staff couldn't have been more accomodating, we didn't even have to change rooms (we had expected to because of the short notice that we wished to stay longer)I would recommend the resort to anyone wishing a beautiful, relaxing vacation.
“Disney Fun”
We rented one of the villas and it was beautiful, the size of the villa made it comfortable to everybody in our party. It was great to come back from spending the day at one of the parks and having room to relax.

If you're looking for a flashy, fast-paced resort, Old Key West is not for you. But if your family is looking for a relaxing getaway, Old Key West may be the right choice. My family stayed in a 1 bd. villa and were very pleased with the spacious accomodations. The staff was also extremely polite and even helped with our early departure to the airport (we had to leave by 4:30 am to catch our plane!). The day before they arranged cab service to be waiting outside our room and even sent one of the resort workers to help load our luggage. My children loved the pool with the sand castle slide. We also enjoyed eating out by the marina after swimming.There is a general store on site, so we were able to buy the necessities ( and some non-necessities such as ice cream!).The only downfall was the distance between the main building and some of the villas, but the weather was perfect and we actually enjoyed the walk (we did use the bus system , too.)The resort is fairly large, but it was amazing at how peaceful it was...and after spending the day at one of the Disney parks , it was nice to "come home" to it at the end of the day!
