“"Can't wait to go back"”

This hotel was awesome!!! Yes, it was older, but very clean!!!! The price was right !!!!The employees were very kind, proffessional, and helpful!!! The continental breakfast was perfect for our family of 4. We have an 8 yr old daughter and a 2 yr old son. The location was amazing!!! The beach is soooo fun!!!! There is a "Jack In The Box" on the corner and an amazing Mexican resaurant across the street!!! We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will deffinately go back again!!!!

“nice enjoyable stay”

We're from Vancouver Canada and vacationing. This hotel is right on the beach which was the ideal location. The beach(Sunset Beach) is literally your backyard which was maybe only 20 steps away from the back of the hotel. I recommend facing the beach rather than the road which is right on Pac Coast Hwy. You can walk along the strip which has many restaurants and amenities for the traveller. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast is provided which includes pre-packaged sausage and eggs sandwiches which were okay. There is a bike path that starts at the back of the hotel and goes on for miles were other beaches are accessible. I recommend renting a bicycle and taking the path to explore the area. The road strip around this area is filled with restaurants and shops and conveniences and the setup is quite charming. It definitely has that small beach town charm. I would stay here again.

“Just what we wanted”

My husband and I wanted a reasonably priced, clean, friendly hotel very near the ocean and near Westminster where we have family. We found everything we needed at this hotel. All of the staff were helpful and kind in person and on the phone before we arrived. The breakfast included lots of excellent strong coffee and fresh fruit. Also, lots of packaged sweets, cold and hot cereals, juices and milk. Best of all were the sausage/cheese/egg/Engish muffins that could be heated in the microwave. We were willing to pay extra for an ocean view with balcony and are glad that we did. It was fun to watch the surfers head out. A big plus is the miles of walking/cycling trail that starts just across the street and follows the beach. The under ground parking would be especially good on hot days.

“looks scary but just fine”

looked marginal from the outside, dont be fooled by picture in ad. room was clean and satisfactory. Would stay here for the value.

“Good for the money”

This hotels decor is stuck somewhere in the 80's, BUT the location and price that you pay is very good!!! The bed is comfy and the room spacious

“Great trendy beachfront location”

The motel faces onto a wide expanse of beach that runs for miles along the Pacific coast with Sunet Beach to the immediate north, and Huntington Beach to the south. Only a small public parking lot used mostly by surfers is in front of the motel. Most rooms face the beach, most have very private balconies. Pacific Coast Hwy is immediately to the back of he motel, so traffic noise on that side is bothersome during the day, but almost nonexistent after about 10:00 PM, so sleep was easy. Breakfast is provided and is the usual fare for inexpensive motels. Parking is under the motel at street level, with the rooms on 2nd and 3rd floors. Ocean-facing rooms are very good sized; highway side are adequate.

“Not quite what I expected.”

I was suprised after reading other reviews, that this motel was in the shape it was in. The movie and cable service was turned off. The carpets were really warn and the place was basically grimy. The continental breakfast was miserable: literally cold coffee. All that being said, it really is right at the beach, there is covered parking, the beds were comfy, loads of pillows and fresh clean linens. we got what we paid for. This was the first time I was disappointed to find that the reviews I read had not lead me to where I was comfortable. Next time I'll pay more I guess.

“Poor”

Definatly not what the pics showed. Very slummy In desperate need of a renovation. Would not recommend to anyone.
