Property Amenities
This hotel, built in 1975 and renovated in 2008, is connected by a pedestrian overpass to South Coast Plaza, a huge, upscale shopping center anchored by Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom; it is the largest shopping mall in California with over 250 stores. The Westin provides complimentary transportation to and from John Wayne-Orange County Airport. The shuttle leaves the airport every half-hour from 5:15 AM - 11:15 PM. Guests can also arrange pick-up by calling the hotel upon arrival 24 hours a day, using the number in the confirmation received after booking. A complimentary shuttle runs based on availability, within 5 miles of the hotel.
The Westin's Pinot Provence bistro showcases Mediterranean cuisine. On weeknights, guests are invited to the lounge to sample regional wines, signature cocktails, champagne, and specialty vodka (surcharges). The Terrace poolside bar, open seasonally, serves drinks and light fare.
A 24-hour business center provides computer workstations (surcharge). Wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available in the lobby area and business center. The hotel offers 26 conference rooms totalling 29,840 square feet of event space.

Guestrooms at this Costa Mesa hotel, which are all non-smoking, feature Westin Heavenly Beds and Heavenly Baths. The Heavenly Bed consists of a custom-designed, foot-thick pillowtop mattress with all-white bedding; triple sheeting; down blanket and duvet; and five pillows (two goose down/feather, two hypo-allergenic, and a decorative “boudoir” neck roll pillow).
The Heavenly Bath consists of a dual showerhead with multiple spray options; curved shower rod for extra room; velour, waffle-weave bathrobes; oversized Brazilian combed-cotton bath towels; and citrus-scented Molton Brown English toiletries.
Other amenities include wireless Internet access (surcharge), minibars, and coffeemakers with Starbucks coffee. TVs come with complimentary Showtime, pay movies, and video games (surcharge).
Heavenly Cribs and Heavenly Dog Beds are also available. The Heavenly Crib includes a pillowtop mattress, baby blankets, a fitted sheet, and a white cloud rug beneath the crib. The Heavenly Dog Bed is made up of custom-designed, oversized pet pillows by Eloise Pet Accessories, which mirror the hotels' human beds, including a miniature Heavenly Bed duvet.
Dining
Pinot Provence - Lobby-level bistro reminiscent of Southern France. Two outdoor terraces. French and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. Fine wines. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Lobby Lounge - Overlooking a cascading waterfall. Large-screen TV tuned to sports. Appetizers, full dinner menu, and cocktails. Open late afternoon to late evening.
The Terrace - Poolside bar on a terrace above a waterfall. Light fare and beverages. Open seasonally; at other times, guests can call for service from a phone by the pool.
Room service - Available 24 hours.
Recreation
The Westin South Coast Plaza has an outdoor pool; two complimentary lighted outdoor tennis courts; and a fitness center with stationary bikes, stair machines, treadmills, and strength-training equipment. Cardio machines come with individual TV.
A running path is adjacent to the hotel. Both Newport Beach and Huntington Beach are within 10 miles. Pelican Hill Golf Club and Oak Creek Golf Club are within 11 miles of the Westin.

“great experience”
We will stay here next time for sure
“Westin South Coast Plaza”
Exceptionally well located with walking bridge to one of SOCAL's premier shopping centers. Spacious rooms with excellent beds.
“Nice place to stay”
Lots of restaraunts nearby, close to the mall, free shuttle to and from John Wayne airport. Room service is a little pricy, but with so many places to eat nearby, that wasn't a problem.
“Will book again”
The Westin (our second booking) has been exemplary. From our pick up at the airport to our departure, the service and the attentive attention has been very good. We will be booking again for our visits to the Segerstrom Centre.
“Excellent Hotel”
Excellent hotel, located next to a big mall, with lots of designer shops and many restaurants, ten minutes or less to the beach. The only thing I diidn't like was the cost of valet parking, very high.

Very comfortable stay! Bed was very comfortable, and the shower had a dual shower head - relaxing.
“Beautiful Hotel”
The front desk staff was extremely nice and very helpful. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are in Orange County.
