“A labor of love”
A luxury boutique hotel with attention to the details. The owners obviously take pride in their hotel. You can see it in all the little things. Bathrooms with spa amenities. Comfortable work desk, huge in-room safe, in-room espresso machine, iron, free parking, free Internet, friendly and very professional staff, ...etc.

I was a little skeptical about this hotel when I saw it from the outside. I am used to staying at very well known hotel chains but decided to make a change. I am glad I did. This hotel was perfect. The rooms were very clean. I loved the bathroom...especially the shower. The bed was heavenly..ooops!. I know this is weird...but I loved the smell of the sheets...so clean. This hotel might not be for some folks as they do not have some of the amenities as large hotels (coffee shop, store, etc.) but they do have a restaurant/lounge which I did not visit. All in all...a great place to stay and will stay again in the future.

Stayed Thanksgiving night after visiting relatives. The room was great. The best part was that it was just a few blocks from the Costa Mesa mall.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and the cleanliness of the room. The bathroom fixtures are high-end, the bedding is very nice - no old bedspreads - and the location is good, near highways, airport, shopping, restaurants. For the price, a very good deal.

I was greeted with a smile. I was quickly checked in and about an hour after I was in my room I was called to make sure everything was okay. They processed my boarding pass and luggage for my trip the next day. I was very happy with the service and hotel.
“Far exceeded our expectations!”
My boyfriend and I were in town looking for homes in the Newport area. From the moment I called to ask if we could check in early (11am!) to the moment we checked out (late) we enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Hotel Hanford. We had our 10 year old English Lab, Mandy and even she was treated with the best service :D We were always greeted by name when we passed the front desk. The room service (we had breakfast and dinner) was excellent! We are used to staying in Marriotts and Hiltons but due to having Mandy with us this trip we decided to try something new and boy are we glad we did! We absolutely LOVED this hotel and would absolutely stay again if we are ever in need again. The location is superb (right next to the 405) and within walking distance to The Camp, an awesome unique shopping and organic dining community. We have already recommended this hotel to friends and family!
“Hotel Hanford, Costa Mesa, is a terrific hotel!”
What a great place! I loved the simplicity of everything. The room was very spacious, the bathroom large enough and with all the important touches (example: toilet had its own little nook with a separate door.) The mattress was just right, too. Everything was clean, clean, clean. Fantastic housekeeping staff!
“Love this place!”
2nd time at this hotel, and will definitely come back again! Perfectly located by the South Coast Plaza but still close enough driving distance to the Balboa Island and the coast. Love the modern decor, and the beds are AMAZINGLY comfortable. Great staff & friendly people.
