This Howard Johnson is literally across the street from Disneyland® Resort. The hotel, built in 1965, contains 7 buildings from 2 to 7 stories high, and is a favorite with families and vacationers attracted to spacious rooms and reliable service. Some of the upper rooms that face the theme park offer primetime views of evening fireworks displays (on Friday and Saturday evenings in the off-season and nightly during the summer).

The 7-acre Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel Anaheim Resort offers 2 separate recreation areas to house its water features. Castaway Cove, the pirate-themed water playground, includes a 30-foot pirate ship (with attendant), a 300-gallon drench bucket, slides, fountains, and water cannons. This area also includes Speedy's Sprayground with a children's pool, fountain play area, and a 15-person spa tub with foot jets.
The Garden Pool, set on another part of the property, offers a heated pool surrounded by gardens, a sundeck, and lounge chairs. Fresh towels are provided at the Garden Pool and at Castaway Cove.

“Love it!”
Fabulous and affordable place to stay for the kids and whole family. It was our first time staying there, cause couldn't afford to stay on Disneyland property, and would definitely stay there again in the near future. The walk to Disney literally took us only 10 min. There are plenty of places to eat around Howard Johnson, if you don't feel like forking up 10 dollars for a burger at Disneyland. Howard johnson and the surrounding areas are amazingly clean, and safe to walk. Once you stay here, you will never want to go back to Disney resorts.
“Loved this hotel! Very kid friendly:)”
We really enjoyed this hotel! The walk to Disneyland is short and we loved the water park on the grounds and the big hot tub. The only thing we did not like was no microwave. If you are on a budget, eating out can get expensive, but there was a fridge and the beds were comfortable. One last thing though, If you want to sleep after the sun comes up then don't stay on the top floors because they have two LARGE uncovered windows up high and my kids were up at 6:40 every morning. It was too bright!
“First trip to Disneyland with the kids.”
This was a terrific place to stay during our first trip to Disneyland with the kids! The water slides were a hit. The walk wasn't bad, even with a two and five year old. We stayed in the kids suite, which worked out perfectly! The only thing I would have liked to see was a continental breakfast included with the price. Overall, an incredibly comfortable and pleasant place to stay!

Very satisfied with our stay at HOJO. Our 5 and 7 year olds loved the pool and water play area. The staff is friendly and the facility was clean.

Very comfortable walk to Disneyland. The two pools were very good. Free parking was good. Staff very helpful. Shop downstairs very handy (but expensive). Easy drive to WalMart, Honda Centre, Freeway.

Staff very accommodating for early check-in coming from out of state. Very comfortable stay, didn't use all facilities offered, pool, game room etc. Free parking a plus, safe surroundings for Disney.

“Amazing staff and hotel”
This hotel was awesome:). The splash park was so much fun and the kids had a blast. It was within walking distance from Disneyland even for a 5 year old. The staff was very helpful in answering all my questions. The lobby had information about what to do in the area. The shopping mall bus comes right to the door to pick you up. All in all this hotle is great and we would stay there again if we go back to Anaheim:)
“Great Hotel!”
This hotel has a retro theme, they are an 8 minute walk to the Disneyland entrance, there are many facilities near by. The hotel has a splash park with a pirate ship and a kid pool 1 ft deep, also on the lot they have a full size pool starting at 3ft. There is a convenience store and arcade on the main floor, as well as coin operated laundry facilities. The room was spacious, clean and we had a perfect view of the fireworks at Disney every night. I would definately stay there again :)
“Five 19-year-olds.”
It was cheap and close to disneyland. Perfect for me and my 4 friends who were just staying the night and spending most of the day out.
