“Great location, awesome water park for the kids”
Our family, me my husband and two kids who also travelled with another family really enjoyed this hotel. It's a great location, about a 10 minute walk to Disneyland. The rooms are very clean and the staff at the front desk were very helpful. The water park for the kids was so much fun, they really enjoyed it. All and all good value for your money.
“Can't wait to go back”
This hotel was the greatest. It was less than 5 minute walk to Disneyland. The staff was very friendly and incredible for helping booking tours, buses and getting around Anaheim. Asked for a Disneyland view when I booked and when one was available they moved us. Had a nice balcony view of Disneyland for the fireworks. Hot tub and pool opened until midnight every night was a bonus since lots of nights you never got back to your room until 10:00 or later. Very clean and spacious rooms. The store was open daily from 7am-11pm and had everything you needed.
“Very impressed with everything”
Felt it was more than worth the price. Our stay was wonderful because of the excellent service we had.
“will stay again for sure!”
Hotel is a great location to the park. It is clean and the staff were always friendly and helpful. They let us use the printed to print coupons. They had free pirate hats for the kids. The gift shop was a bit pricey compared to other gift shops on the street.
“A Great Place”
My family of 4 really enjoyed our stay at the Howard Johnson. Besides being close to Disneyland, we also enjoyed their pool and games room. The staff were very helpful in planning other activities as well. They helped to make this trip a great family vacation.
“Great”
We stayed in the bunk bed kids suite, it was exactly what a travelling family needs. There is a separate bedroom with a king size bed , it's own bathroom, as well as a T.V. , coffee maker, fridge, and microwave are in that room making it nice because you can put the kids to bed and still have access to food ect without the worry of waking the kids. It's about a 15min walk to the Disney gates. It offers a kids waterpark playarea that my 5 yr old loved, but it almost seemed that my 8 yr old was outgrowing. My 8 yr old was more than happy with the separate pool that was there. I would definatly stay there again!
“Can't Wait to go Back”
Great stay at the Howard Johnson. Second time was a winner. First time stayed in Building 1, highway noise was really loud. Thought we would give it another chance and stayed in Building 2, best idea ever. Great beds, huge room, in room safe big enough for laptop. Stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter in WDW and this room was bigger and cleaner. Allthough there is no breakfast available at the hotel Mimi's is just across the street or there are many restaurants on your way to Disney. The walk is short enough to take a break from Disney and go back later in the day. Already planning a Christmas vacation and the Howard Johnson will be our first choice. To find your ideal room go to their website and take a look.
“Great Place”
very accomodating. Very good location for visiting Disneyland. The Fireworks are viewable from the parking lot or the main pool area. Great place to stay. Mimi's has great food and good prices. Joe's Crab Shack was excellent as well.
“Very very satisfied!”
We stayed here from October 8-15, 2007. I requested an upgrade to a park-facing room. We got one in Building One on the seventh floor. It had a great view of the Matterhorn and the hotel pools. At night we could sit on the little balcony and watch the fireworks! Check-in and check-out were speedy. All of the hotel staff I interacted with throughout the stay were very friendly and helpful. They handled my concerns re: transportation, my lost luggage, and the shuttles to the airport and Universal Studios. The little store on the bottom of Building One had a little of everything, including disposable dishes and cutlery. The room was very spacious. It had two Queen beds, a small table, three chairs, a large desk/dresser. The bathroom was small, but there was also an extra sink outside of the bathroom. There was a small fridge and a coffee maker. The housekeeping staff were excellent. Even if we went out in the morning and came back at lunch, the room was already spotless, with coffee restocked. The grounds were very nicely landscaped and attractive. The pools were clean and a good size, and well-stocked with towels and lounges. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Disneyland. Maybe a little longer for slower walkers. There is Mimi's, Millie's and McDonald's all nearby. We also had to take the city bus to Target after arriving (airline lost our luggage), and that was very easy - take the #43 bus in the direction of Disneyland, it's about a five minute bus ride.
“Had a great stay and staff very friendly and helpful.”
I have stayed here before and again this was a great hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. This hotel is located near many restaurants and close to Disneyland. I would stay here again.
