I had a great experience and very satified with the hotel, staff, and room. It was clean and easy to find parking. The check in was handled professionally; didn't have to wait too long as busy as it was.

We were very happy with the Homestead in Irvine. The front desk clerks were very nice and accomodating. The rooms were very quiet, we heard very little outside noise. Keep in mind it is mostly for business travel and extended stay. So, think of it like your own apartment. Cleaning isn't on a daily basis (like your own apartment). Bring your own toiletries.

“Great Value”
i picked this place based solely on price and location, yet checked in to find that it was a nice little place nestled between a business district and a mall, right off the freeway (but still quiet). The "studio" had a queen bed, TV, and a desk, full bath, and a minimalistic kitchenette with a stove, a sink, a table for two, and a few dishes and pots. It was inexpensive to the point that you had to go to the lobby to get the free shampoo, but for the price I found it to be a great deal.

“Great place to stay a few weeks”
I stayed in a Deluxe King Suite for eleven days and found that the room delivered on all that was promised. The refrigerator and microwave oven worked just fine and the stove was functional despite one of the range elements being nonoperational. Climate control was great and water pressure/temperature was good. Laundry facilities were clean, working, and not jam-packed during my stay. The wireless internet connection was stable and, after paying for a speed upgrade, very fast. The hotel itself abuts a small shopping center with a Starbucks, a Bagel shop, and a taco place which make for convenient breakfast and lunch fare. The Irvine Spectrum -- a large outdoor mall complete with Ferris wheel and carousel on top of numerous stores, restaurants, a gym, movie theater, and the Irvine Improv -- is within comfortable walking distance for dinner and entertainment. The hotel is also less than half a mile from an Amtrak station for people needed to make trips to other cities in the region, particularly Los Angeles. The hotel is also located fairly close to major highways for travelers who are renting a car, and is about a 10 minute drive (non-rush hour) from John Wayne Airport. I am returning to Irvine several times in the next few months and have already booked my rooms here. It's not frilly or fancy but for someone who needs a good place in a convenient location and some features that are missing in most hotels I suggest this place.
