“The $7 Hidden Fee”

The Hotel is OK not great not outstanding. What upset me was the additional $84 dollar bill handed to me on the morning as I opened my door. While I understood that I was being charged (Hijacked really) $14 for parking a night. The $7 because the hotel was in a "resort" area (meaning it is near Disneyland) was ridiculous. Up until that moment I was fairly pleased with the hotel however the added fee just left a bad taste in my mouth. If Doubletree can't factor that into the price quote then they need to provide me a estimated cost print out when I checked in to tell me about the additional $84 for a four night stay. If I ever visit Anaheim again I will not stay there and I will not recommend to others.

“Disney Trip”

Over the Thanksgiving holiday we went to Disney Land at Anaheim,. We stay at this hotel. Their complimentary chocolate chip cookies are great. It was clean and pleasant experience. The room had two queen beds nicely done and clean. The bath tub and bathroom was clean. The living room was little small but enough for party of 4 . Hotel location is great it is close to Disney Land as well as the shopping center and seem to be safe due to the Disneyland crowd. You can walk out site even after dark. We had a good time One thing I would say do not get your coffee form the Starbucks in the hotel. Their service and the selections are very poor. Check out the restaurant for breakfast.

“Fabulous Disneyland Trip”

We went to Disneyland in July this year & stayed at the Doubletree after reading lots of reviews. Overall the staff were great, especially the main lady who worked the bar in the evenings, the guy who books the airport transfers (who was actually leaving for the night but stayed later to make sure we got on a shuttle the following morning), reception, and the breakfast staff. One or two of the girls who worked the evenings in the restaurant had a bit of an attitude and were not pleasant to be served by, having said that the food was excellent (and a bonus that kids ate for free). The hotel was slightly further than expected to Disneyland so it was difficult to walk with a 2 year old. The ART bus stopped outside, but it was not always reliable (not the hotel's fault but something to bear in mind if you have kids desperate to get to the park). On nights when we did not stay at Disneyland later we could watch the fireworks from the pool area. Be careful if you go to the pool on a hot day though, the tiles around it get very hot and you could burn your feet! One bedroom suite was a great size for the 3 of us (and we also got a deal that included free breakfast) and was kept clean by the staff. Fridge in the room was awfully loud though! Would definitely stay at the Doubletree again if we went to Disneyland again.

“Pleasant experience”

Nice clean, modern and comfortable. We got billed for parking even though we had no car (this was corrected at check-out). Very close to the convention center and a short 10 minute walk.

“Nice hotel to stay”

It was the first time to stay at the propert and enjoy the time at the hotel. Everything was fine, except the elevator, which made a lot of unknown noise to make me scare. I was notice the problem to FD, but didn't fix till i left.

“Nice hotel but a long walk to Disney”

The double tree is a nice hotel and a solid 3.5 AAA stars (its as nice or nicer than some 4 star hotels). I booked a king suite which was very spacious. Parking was reasonable at fourteen dollars a day. I had a room that included the breakfast buffet. The buffet was very good with french toast, pancakes, sausage, bacon, several types of eggs, waffles, cold cereal, toast, pastries and juice and coffee included. The hotel has a small bar/lounge in the lobby as well as a restaurant. The pool is on the second floor and it was quite nice as was the fitness room. The hotel claims to be two blocks to Disney but it is not two blocks to the Disney entrance gate. The walk to Disney was probably too long for small children. I walk a mile in under 20 minutes and the walk to the Disney took at least 15 minutes (probably .5 to 3/4 mile walk- part of the reason the walk took 15-20 minutes was the wait for walk lights at all of the intersections)

Area recommendations

Go to Disneyland your first day and California adventure your second. CA adventure serves alcohol and you will need it by day two- well unless you like waiting in line for 20-120 minutes for every ride, snack and meal and can tolorate this for a second day without a nice buzz.
